My only question mark is centered on why the Templars would raid the hideout in the end of AC2 armed only with freaking metal batons. No guns? I mean...not even a single tazar. Not even a sword! What gives? The economy must be hitting the villainy industry hard.
Yeah, that was weird, and yet, so funny at the same time... well, at least recovery is starting(?) now
Well, if the game is really gonna go through as Desmond (finally), then the gameplay will have to drastically adapt somehow to dealing with urban environments, mid-range to long-range combat involving a wide variety of guns and numerous vehicles interacting more with citizens, while still maintaining the good ol' Assassins Creed gameplay we love... Wow, that just blew my mind thinking about it all.
Also, another thing about AC2... gotta love the whole thing on December 21st, 2012 :)
In trying to fit within the story line I can only imagine that they did not want to kill Desmond because he is so important in finding all of the lost pieces (he probably has the most important family in history according to the assassins creed mythology)
Based on playing the game, I would imagine any of the following for online games:
- timed races - combat, duel, etc. - survival - assassination (kill a target, post a time, compare it, etc.) - CTF (which we saw in Florence) - tag
I would also think that it would be wicked to do team matches, as well, since they have the capabilities for it... Imagine an assassin fighting a Templar knight over who's 'it'. XP
"You're it!" "No, you're it!" "No, you're it!" (throws sand in face) "Argh, f**k you!" (trips him with a spear) "You SOB!" (smoke bomb) "I'll kill you!" (kicks him in the groin)
I'll leave it to you to imagine how the rest of this scenario plays out...

CTF would be very interesting, I remember that mission in game, it would be great to see other players agility (perhaps include a more interactive element to free-running other than just hold down A or online temporary perks like speed boost similiar to the agile guards perhaps.)
What I wouldn't like to see is too many Leaderboards (i.e who has done time trials fastest/ assassinated the most the quickest etc.) To me that's a bit of a cop out when it comes to multiplayer, where technically you are against others you are still pretty much playing on your tod. Unless, of course, the time trials/ races/ assassinations include other players on your screen all at once so your physically racing against them in-situ then that'll be fantastic! And the more likely option.
I kind of makes me wonder though, what happen to all of the other Pieces of Eden, 'cause remember in the Glyph puzzles that certain presidents had them, whatever happen to them?
I think that with the current combat system, a 1v1 duel would be so intense. It might not eliminate the wait...wait...wait...counter fighting, but you would have to attack if you wanted to finish.
In AC2, your so overpowered, so if you were fighting someone at an equal footing, it would be so awesome. Also, imagine 8v8 battles or 4v4 stealth assassinating matches.
Multiplayer in AC3 or 2.5 or whatever will be so fucking epic!
No. That looks more like a "Hey, DoctrWyllyumHCozzbeeEDD69! Look I haz eleventy-nine more killz than u. LOLFAG!"
ACII.5 is this:
Assassin's Creed II Episodes [working title]
The next game in the franchise has been announced by Ubisoft and will be released fiscal year 2010-11. Little is known about the plot, but it has been confirmed that it will be the continuation of Assassin's Creed II protagonist Ezio's story. Ubisoft has also confirmed online multiplayer for the first time in the series. [2][3] On February 9, Ubisoft announced that the main story will center around Ezio fighting the Templars' Order, which is headquartered in Rome.
Just because bioshock has multiplayer doesn't mean assassin's creed should. I like most games multiplayer-less, unless they're a racer, fighter, or shooter, not an action-adventure or RPG, because DLC is going to focus on multiplayer more often in my opinion and co-op is just, well, too much now. I want some more one player games, but every one-player game is too boring or repetitive or its set in some fantasy world like lord of the rings, or its really really short like every new IP that is single-player in the last pass five years. I could be wrong though, maybe they're are some really great single-player games that are long and fun, like fallout 3, which came out 2 years ago I think, but whatever.
Also, splinter cell conviction looks good.
Also, I heard assassin's creed 3 might be during world war or something. I'd like to see like revolutionary war or something or even farther, if they're going that far anyway, or better yet, during they're time.
Kinda dissappointed that Ezio is the main character again and that it's set in Rome. Although I loved the character and enjoyed playing him and enjoyed free running on famous italian architecture I was kinda hoping for something different like the shift from the middle east to renaissance italy was. After the ending credits I was also looking forward to kicking some more modern day arse with Desmond and perhaps having him carry out a few contracts That said, if they decide that Assassin's Creed isn't going to be a trilogy at all but have a few more chapters than I'm happy to stay with Ezio for now.
Nah dude, I know what you mean, it would be cool to play as the assassins of the tombs you found in AC2. There's like 6 tombs, aren't there? That would make for some diversity in location and character
Got AC2 a week ago, played it to death(47 out of 50 achievments got going through the game) got DLCs and played them to death but I have one proble with it. You couldn't replay any of the memories. Felt like a step backwards for me. They'd better fix it for the next game.
