Yes it is. someone made their interpretation of the Changeling Hive and i thought it looked just like the Vault of Whispers. I felt like i had point that out to someone.
To be fair, if someone had told us that Hub was aiming for men to be calling themselves 'Bronies' as hard-core MLP fans before anyone actually got to watch 'Friendship is Magic', we probably would have laughed at them, too.
Except that wasn't what they were going for at all. The Brony fandom was not planned out or expected ahead of time, but was a result of a great show made by people who decided not to pander down to the target demographic. If they're now intentionally trying to start another brony fandom based on Care Bears (or any show for that matter) they're going to fail hard.
I figure as much, I have four of those... one of them holographic... I would use the hologram one... but it's just too shiny...I swear I can be like a Pegasus at times when it comes to that kind of thing.
I know what you mean. I went and bought a From the Vault: Legends Sharuum the Hegemon for my EDH deck. I keep it in a sleeve inside solid plastic sleeve to keep it from getting damaged. It's very shiny.
I was under the impression that LF was trying to create a show that could be enjoyed by those outside the target demographic, even if it was still specifically aimed at a much younger female audience.

Her goal was to make a show that parents could watch with their children and enjoy unlike most current shows that make people outside the target demographic want to tear their eyes out. The bronies were an unexpected side effect of her success, "unexpected" being he key word. Faust struck lightning on accident, and any intentional or deliberate attempt by Hasbro/Hub to strike twice is doomed to fail.
I can see where the Hub its coming from, as it must be nice for a TV network to host a show with such a large following, children, adults, male and female alike. But they obviously don't understand what started such a fandom. It wasn't nostalga for a shitty 80's cartoon, but the effort of Lauren Faust to create a cartoon that anyone could watch and not feel like their intelligence its being insulted. Then she filled that show with fantastic character building, voice actors, music, and animation. Maybe somepony should make a documentary about it?
