What was the last movie you saw? Did you like it? And what rating would you give it out of 10? (ten being the best)
True Grit - 7.9/10 I thought this movie was gonna be a little better than it was, but I still liked it. Plus it made me wanna play Red Dead Redemption again after I watched it haha
The Mechanic - 7/10 Again, it was alright. Jason Statham films usually have a good amount of action, and this one didn't disappoint.
Damn... what can you say after watching that film? Just watching Matt Damon and Leonardo running circles around each other, then... your jaw drops at everything that happens at the end, and you have nothing else to say, but 'damn'. Such a great film.
In the movie theaters: Battle L.A. 8/10 -- I really liked the show. I might have rated it higher bc I think Aaron Eckhart is damn sexy. I really couldn't stand some of the camera angles.
At home: Gamer 9.5/10 -- I thought this movie was amazing. I really liked the story line and Gerard Butler is amazing! With the way technology is moving it kind of makes you think about where we could be headed.
In reply to A1KILLSAUCE, #1: Good question I think!
This movie took my expectations and blew them into next week. What I thought was gonna be just a mediocre superhero movie turned out to be quite an entertaining film. It had its highs, and its lows, but when all was said and done, it really shone through.
Toy Story 3 - 9.5/10
Some people may consider this a kids movie, but in my opinion, Pixar films are timeless. I had been meaning to watch it for awhile but had been too busy. Finally, I got to sit down with some friends and watch it all the way through. It blew me away. I loved the first Toy Story to death when I was a kid, and this one reminded me why.
Some things that they did to the storyline really shouldn't have been done, and that took away from how interesting the film actually was. Still, a great film, but not in the same league as the first 3.
Reason being, i found the film interesting, it was enough to keep me watching, the concept was kind of cool, in a weird sci fi version of a biblical story, the idea of a higher life form coming down as the watchers of our planet, who decide our species is too destructive. What really stopped it being higher for me, was the dreadful half arsed ending. just cheap and lazy wrapping up and closure. i would say that the film is worth a watch, but for the love of god, borrow the dvd from someone, don't pay for it.
The last movie I saw was: Taxi Driver- 9.5 I dont know what to say about it other than its nearly perfect in every way (Im sure there will be someone that disagrees with me on that)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Pt. 2: 9.6/10
The movie blew me away, what a great job they did finishing the series. Had some really great, touching scenes in it (Snape's memories in the Pensive, preparing the defenses of the castle, etc.) , and they threw in some funny one-liners that weren't in the book. I can say that I was quite satisfied.
Horrible Bosses: 8.8/10
Very funny. Probably one of the funniest comedies I've seen in quite awhile. If you love Charlie Day from always Sunny in Philadelphia, go see the movie. If you like Jason Sudeikis (SNL), go see the movie. You know what, just go see the movie.
Captain America: The First Avenger - 9/10 it was a very fun movie, I don't know much about the character but I still enjoyed it greatly! Hugo Weaving was excellent as the villain of the film and Chris Evans did a great job as Captain America!
well you beat me to the first movie, Captain America: The First Avenger was a 9/10. Great story, most of it seemed really close to the comic story and it was well adapted. And the last movie i saw was Rise of the Planet of the Apes- also 9/10, good back story that made sense. i havent seen all of any of the planet of the apes other than this and the remake of the original, i feel like im the only person but i loved this movie.
Amadeus was on Tv earlier today and I watched it for the first time. It was great, (freaking long though -.-) and very good acting.
8.8/10
The latest movie I saw in the theater was Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 which was amazing, really gave a lot of moments from the book their credit due.
Really good movie, did seem to keep pretty close to what I know about the comics and the casting was spot on. Hugo Weaving was great as Red Skull and Chris Evans fit the Captain America/Steve Rogers role perfectly I thought.
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 - 9/10
I thought this was by far the best of the lot, although I hated the very end scene of the film, I just thought it was really stupid.
Harry potter and the deathly hallows part 2- 10 of 10
a perfect ending to the saga of harry potter but i hated the people in the theater with me SPOILERS--->when voldimort comes back to the courtyard and hes being totaly crazy as in twisted and mad they all broke out laughing that bothers me<----UNSPOILERS besides that it was an amazing film
I just saw Final Destination 5 and I give it a 7, but it could be a 6. It was your average scary movie, but what irritated me was I figured out the ending 5 minutes after the actual movie started.
Last film I saw in the cinema was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 give it an 8
Was an amazing film, but the ending did bother me a little with; SPOILER BELOW
the same characters being used, with all due respect, they could have used different actors that actually looked older, you know at the 19 years later part, that's the only reason why I give it an 8, otherwise it would have been a 9
SPOILER END
Not sure if it is much of a spoiler but did it just in case, so yeah 8, otherwise would have been a 9
In theaters, I believe it was Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I give it 9/10, and it's one of the few (maybe only) movies where one scene just stuck with me. To avoid spoilers, those who saw it would know the scene I'm talking about; I loved how it was done and it had a huge impact on me despite a certain line.
On DVD it was the extended Two Towers, and like the other two in the series I would give it a 10/10. I'm a huge fan of the LOTR movies and I think it's the best series of movies ever made.
