Ever see that one movie that you know you should hate, but absolutely love? Everyone has that one movie, or two, that they can't help but be entertained by. For me, it's EuroTrip, that movie about teens traveling across Europe and getting into all kinds of shenanigans. What about you guys, what movies do you like that everyone else hates?

I love Kung Pow! Enter the Fist. Almost everyone I know thinks it's dumb, but that's just why I like it.

the transformers movies: i feel that they aren't meant to compel you, but amaze you with how realistic the transformers are.

Road Trip, the movie travelling across America and getting into all kinds of shenanigans.

If you've noticed how I stole what Blitz120 said about EuroTrip the reason for that is simple, EuroTrip is the spiritual sequel to Road Trip.

There's a few movies that always get criticised but I personally really enjoyed, including:

Evolution
Wild, Wild West
Godzilla (Matthew Broderick remake)

I know they're not great, but were they ever really supposed to be Oscar winners?!

I get a lot of flack for liking the Spirit and Buckaroo Banzai. Not the best movies in the world by any stretch of the imagination, but they are a lot of fun to me.

I think that Scott Pilgrim might be that movie for me. I loved it the first time I saw it, but I don't think I know anyone else who even liked it slightly.

Evolution was a great movie!

I don't know anyone that doesn't like that movie.

I'm a big fan of many, many movies that other people hate so i'll just say the most recent one I saw. Undead. It has zombies AND aliens. What more could i want?

..and I agree too, I really enjoyed Speed Racer and Cloverfield :)

I agree they maybe should have kept the Cloverfield monster a bit more elusive but I loved the execution in terms of film-making and also the viral marketing that went along with it.

I freaking loved the Godzilla remake. I also really dug the Kevin Costner Robin Hood.

Punisher War Zone. I went and saw that with 2 friends at a late night thursday show. The theater was empty, which made it easier for us to laugh at/mimic the terrible acting and cheesy one liners laden in that film. If you haven't seen it, please get drunk with your best friends and enjoy. Its the best bad movie I've seen to date.

I actually really enjoyed the 30 Days of Night adaptation, didn't realise it received a bad reception..

There are a lot of crappy movies that I like, but not in a guilty pleasure kind of way. I like them because they're so bad. Some of my favorites would have to be The Room, Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire's Kiss and that one five-minute segment of Deadfall (anyone who's seen the movie will know what I'm talking about).

I agree with The Room, it was so aweful yet so fun to watch in a group. It's probably the only bad-in-everyway movie I've ever recommend someone to go see.

The Day After Tomorrow is a guilty pleasure of mine.

And in the same vein, I know Independence Day is an absolutely silly movie, but I still enjoy the hell out of it.

Such a fantastic film! Its the poor dubbing (obviously done on purpose) which does it for me!
A good film to watch with mates and a few beers!

Independence Day is my Shaun of the Dead for alien movies.

And for me, I have no interest in watching it again, but I did enjoy Dragonball Evolution when I saw it in the theatres.

I'll offer up the counterpoint to this thread with an anecdote.

The Neverending Story is one of those movies that is filled with nostalgia and awesomeness and whenever its on tv, its hard to find a reason to not watch it.

But several years ago (2001, maybe 2002) I had the opportunity to see it at a midnight showing here in Dallas and let me tell you, that movie is dumb as hell. Something about seeing it on a big screen with an auditorium full of adults, hearing those terrible lines about saving apples for later and luck dragons really makes you aware of how thin the line is that separates that movie from some of the worst things ever made.

For me I would say Daredevil, Hollywood Homicide and *cough* Eragon. I don't pay too much attention to critics. I also really liked Sucker Punch which got sucky reviews as well.
