Idk how to start this.......so I just will, Hi my name is James and I currently own a 1991 Tahitian Green Civic Si, when I bought it the previous owner had it gutted, with toxico blue shocks and eibach pro springs, a short throw shifter with a D16A6 head on a D16Y7 block. It was a fun little car, it only had 102 hp so it definitely wasn't fast but it was confident through the corners and that's what I like. But like anybody into cars soon you find you need more, whether it be more power or more control. I decided on both.
Here she was the day I got her.
Step 1 was to lose the steelies and get some rubber to the road, so I chose to run with some 15x7.5 949Racing 6UL rims, they came with 205/50/15 Nexen CP641s, but I'm looking to go to some Falken Azenis 615K's
and here's some pictures of them on the car(pay no attention to the driver's fender dent =P)
Step 2 is get rid of the SOHC 1.6 liter and drop in something with a little bit more umph, so why not a DOHC 1.8 liter from an Integra LS?
So I took this
and put it in the car, lots of frustration and a few energy drinks later, I ended up with this
Roughly took about two weeks, had to find a trans, the mounts didn't work, needed another rear mount, and need to buy a traction bar
But all motor isn't enough for me, so I decided I needed a little more to supplement it Step 3 add the go fastness I tossed in some RC550cc injectors, 68mm throttle body, exedy stage 2 clutch, 91 GSR cable trans rebuilt with Type R gears and Quaife LSD, innovative traction bar, Blox log manifold, Garrett 60trim turbo, Tial 38mm wastegate with 10psi spring, Walbro 255lph fuel pump basetuned with Moates Ostrich 2.0, once the car is running again I'll street tune it So as of right now here is how she sits, more updates soon for sure! Thanks for reading
Future mods: Coilovers(havent decided on which brand) ASR subframe braces, Eibach rear sway bar, Full race ram manifold, Borg Warner EFR6258, Crower stage 1 valvetrain upgrade, Eagle crank and rods, Wiseco pistons, Darton sleeves
lol 56k, I figured I should add that before someone comes in here bitchin, and I'm making an all around car, so far it weighs a little over 1800 pounds, alot of my friends are into autocrossing and tracking their cars, so that's the ultimate goal for this
