A Bit like What are you listening to but with a twist.

Is there a Band or Artist you've recently been listening to a lot? A Band you would recommend to others?
Then Please tell us who they are and what Genre they are so others may see and maybe like what you listen to as well!
So tell us why you also like the band and why others may like it to!

I've Recently been listening to a lot of Gym Class Heroes. There a twist between MC artists and Popular music and i enjoy there music a lot since there lyric and there music is entertaining and actually very good in my opinion :)

I've recently been listening to a lot of Breaking Benjamin. Good band and highly recommended; mainstream alternative which is a bit of a throw from my usual classic rock.

I'm listening to The White Stripes, an alternative rock band. Listen to "Seven Nation Army", or "Blue Orchid" if you already haven't.

Would love to see you dudes explain why you're listening to those bands, rather than just listing them off, otherwise this is just another name for the what are you listening to now thread.

In reply to Frostitute, #12:

Alrighty then :) I've been listening to a lot of Breaking Benjamin lately because my fiance was playing it during CoD and I really began liking the songs. He still smirks at me and says things like "I got you to start singing Breaking Benjamin" because I've been listening and singing to them almost constantly for a while. Actually, because of him I've been listening to a lot of alternative lately. As I said, it's a nice change from the usual classic rock I'm into.

Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers. Funny Newfie band and I've been trying to learn a little bit more about Newfoundland culture and stuff like that. Also, I've been listening to a lot of Bob Seger, just because I like his stuff.

I just caught on to Close To Home (pop-punk hardcore band), Sleeping With Sirens (same), and Family Force 5 (a pop kind of group with guitars).

And then of course, my all time favorite band, A Day to Remember (pop-punk hardcore).

Close to Home song to listen to: Nothing Lasts Forever or All We Know.
Sleeping With Sirens songs: If I'm James Jean, You're Ashley Hepburn.
Family Force 5: Love Addict.
A Day to Remember: Sticks & Bricks or I'm Made Of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?

I have been listening to a lot of Oomph!, Gackt, and Breaking Benjamin the past 4 months.

Oomph! is a German alternative rock group, they sing in both German and English. I just love their sound, they incorporate many styles of music (metal, electronica, Gothic, industrial) so each song sounds different. Also the lead singer has a pretty sexy voice (imo). The album I have been listening too is their Truth or Dare album which is a compilation of their German hits sung in English.

Gackt is a Japanese Rock singer, he sometimes sings in English but it really isn't that good. Most of his songs are really powerful and have deep and beautiful lyrics. I just bought his latest compilation CD "Are you Fried Chickenz?" and it is amazing. If anyone has played FF7: DOC then you would probably know his song Redemption.

My friend got me into Breaking Benjamin back in high school and that was all we would listen to while we played halo so It brings back some nostalgic memories.

I've just started listening to the Crysis 2 soundtrack, as well as Whitesnake's new album "Forevermore." Both are excellent, at least IMO
