After the first Freelancer Break in at Command, the Director decided to move Church and hide him in plain sight as a sim trooper at Sidewinder. Now the Director couldn't just leave Church there alone, he needed someone from PF to keep and eye on him. Well, Pvt. Jimmy was Church's BFF at Sidewinder. Maybe this was setup by Command so that Jimmy could stay close to Church. Also, MBG is the only Freelancer left that would be able to accompany Church to Sidewinder. Everyone else is either rogue, crazy, or dead.
Plus, Jimmy appears with Church in Out of Mind asking for him to come along, presumably to Sidewinder. And to sweeten the deal, remember Jimmy's line in Season 1 about asking his girl back home to marry him? I think his lost love is Lucy/479er, the other pilot.
People originally believed Theta was fear. We know now that he is empathy which the Alpha would want to split off because he was set up with scenarios where his failure hurt others. So was Theta's fear in episode 5 a fear of failing and letting North down?
I don't think he was ever afraid in that episode. He was kind of shy, that's all. AI can show qualities other than their "essential" quality. Like Delta's snarkiness isn't related to logic, so Theta's shyness doesn't have to be related to his empathy.
Before we knew Church was the Alpha, we all just assumed Omega had no effect on Church because he was just that much of an asshole that he couldn't get any eviler. Come to think of it, of all the emotions, the one Church seems to have the most of is rage, enough that he might as well have been voiced by Michael. Omega was supposedly Alpha's rage, but Church doesn't seem to be missing rage as much as other traits (deceit-he's a bad liar, empathy-he can't stand his team, logic-he thinks time travel makes copies).
I'm betting something is going to get screwed up in her plan, and she'll take it out on the guys. i wouldn't be surprised if she plans on trading/killing epsilon or something along those lines and when the others try to stop her shit hits the fan.
Yeah, I don't see her having much concern about Epsilon's wellbeing. Maybe he'll start having flashbacks or something and everyone else will be like "we need to abort before he goes nuts again" and she'll keep pushing them to keep going... or once he tells her what she wants to know, she might want to abandon him or use him as bait... something. But I can definitely see something like that happening, with her not caring about him and everyone else turning against her for it.
I don't know if his reactions were rage, so much as impotent angrish.
The discussion about Omega gives me a little leeway to bring up this point. Does anyone else think that Omega and Tex were nigh inseparable because the Director subconsciously has so much rage associated with his memories of Allison? Not necessarily about the circumstances of her death, although that is also possible, but maybe relating to the fact that Allison may have been a bitch.
Tex probably didn't develop her rather nasty personality for no reason, and Alpha's rather profoundly negative memories of her can give rise to the conclusion that the Original Allison may have been something of a bitch, or, alternatively, an unrequited love, which led a young Director to irrationally hate/love her.
If, in fact, this premise is correct, it might indicate a tendency for "like" fragments to gravitate towards each other, such as the close partnership between Gamma and Omega while torturing Alpha.
I don't understand this.. Was that an accusation? An order? I don't understand. Are-are-are you hungry? CorbanG are you hungry? Are you cold? Do you need a blanket? CorbanG, do you want some hot dogs in a blanket?
I always felt like Allison wasn't nearly as big a bitch as Tex, and Tex is only a bitch because she's really not okay with all the things the Director is doing 'for' her and Tex probably feels like she's an entirely different person, so she's probably the type to get angry if someone were to call her Allison because she believes she's not Allison. I'm willing to bet the anger, the supposed 'sleeping around' as alpha said and everything else is just tex trying to create big differences between herself and Allison.
Well, they did have all those back up Tex bodies in season 8. i wouldn't be surprised if the director backed up tex's memories/personality or something to put in an extra body in case of emergency. Like Lopez saying he backed up himself in S7.
