^ Agreed though I haven't tried GIMP and probably won't ever I don't know what that program can do, but I know Photoshop has everything I need for my avatar pics.
It's definitely on my list, but right now I'm in $400 debt on a class ring, a vehicle, Halo 4, Assassin's Creed 3, then maybe I'll try for Photoshop. Unlike the rest of the country, the mid-west is still in recession. Photoshop is on my list though.
Can do. What font would you like? Do you have source images that you prefer for the DMR, diamond sword, and AK? It helps when making it so you'll like the final design perfectly.
Take out the 935 and put have the joystick and star part of the AH image in the middle where it would be. Also if you could make the whole thing fit inside of the AH ring so that the cog part of it is touching the green circle that would be cool. Also if you could make the Cog like a dark or steel blue, the Atom red but leave the middle blank for the green joystick and star, the fingers black and the arm and wrist part black.
Programs aside how good or bad an avatar pic (or any pic) comes out falls solely on you imagination, creativity, and the ability to take an idea and take it to the next level. Assuming that you know how to use the program it is just a tool nothing more. Whether you use GIMP or Photoshop its all preference it comes down to what your most comfortable using.
