I just had another one of my cooky mad cap schemes. What If I took a John Deer Gator, swapped it's current engine for one from a high performance car engine, turbo said engine, welded the diff, put machine guns on the front, and then put a turret in the back? Good idea or bad? And any suggestions how to do it?
Which gator? The old style golf cart like gator or the new xuv? I've got one of the new 825i gators, it runs fast enough at 44! I've also heard rumors of a new v twin sport gator that will run 80mph. All gators have always come factory with a diff lock. The new gator is electronic front lock, mechanical rear. Now the old style 4x2 gator, you might be able to get a small front drive car engine and trans between the frame rails. I have no idea what it would take to get it to work. I imagine a small honda civic engine would propel it pretty damn good though.
