there's a cool place at front street and church called "c'est what?". since i'm not in TO too often, there may be better places, especially depending on the size of the crowd. they have a website: www.cestwhat.com in case you guys haven't heard of it.
How large of a group we talking about here? I know there are a lot of RvBers in TO and I'm sure some hardcore fans living in the city outskirts won't mind making the trek into town. Take into consideration TTC and parking availability as well. Does this event have an organizer?
Last year it was about 30 people. It's not so much an event as it is a bunch of folks getting together for dinner. In Toronto. In January. In about 20 below. Uphill. Both ways.
So the 5th of Jan is when I'm skiing. Another issue for me is getting time off work. I'll already be taking time off to go skiing, took time off to go to TO last weekend.
I've actually locked the poll, because it was fundamentally flawed; there wasn't an option for "I'm good with whatever," and it turns out the wrong weekend was excluded anyway. Once Erin's responded with a) whether my idea is feasible, and b) whether skiing on the 5th precludes her attending on the 7th, I'll post up a proper poll and link to it in the first post of the thread.
For now, does anyone have any very good reasons not to have it on any specific weekend?
Alright, so here is the official date poll. It occurred to me that some people may be able to make it except for specific weekends, so I figured I'd add in some poll options for people who are good except for one weekend. If you vote for one of those options, I encourage you to say in a post that you did and what you have going on, so we know who's unavailable when. As far as I know, I'm good with any weekend, so I'll start off the voting on my own poll LIKE A BOSS!
Myself, Zotaku, Britte, and Heather all have birthdays late January, so I have been looking at the last two weekends as a possible date for a party.winTO kind of thing.
