I watched Green Lantern on the plane back from Japan late last year and I actually thought it wasn't bad. But I have a man crush on Ryan Reynolds so, you know, I'm a bit biased ;)
I get what you mean by going on a journey with not only the character but also the writer. I am just now beginning to read the last book (PLEASE DON'T SPOIL FOR ME) and I am thinking back to when I first started reading the series. Remembering how far the character came, How far even I came since beginning to read the series. So much reflecting. I'm excited to see how it ends, yet sad to know it's over. It's a good series.
And the movie gave it no justice. To me they seem to throw all the action bits together and called it a movie. None of the side fun parts where in there, which let me down. They could have made that movie so much better.
Twilight... 'nuff said. UGH! Talk about a worthless ass movie/ series. In reply to Cyberclops14, #61:
Not to mention the fact that they got rid of Megan Fox... I'm a chick and that pissed me off. That poofy lipped Victoria's Secret model just ran around and screamed the whole time...
For me personally (and I don't know if it was mentioned already), "The Happening" starring Mark Wahlberg. An M Night bomb where the wind is deadly and people randomly kill themselves. Terrible plot, terrible acting, woefully bland, and stunningly awful effects (the lion ripping the zookeeeper's arm off is just so bad it's funny) Avoid at all costs...
Day of the dead 2 (2008 version) is the worst movie i have seen and probably will ever see. or an Uwe Boll movie. Except maybe rampage that movie was ok
You know what I changed my mind, after watching Sucker Punch a second time, I love it. Now, I'll day you a movie that will never be good or even watchable is the Super Mario Bros movie.
For all its horrible acting, terrible dialogue, stupid premise, and laughable direction, I like it because Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo are awesome ;)
Dragon Wars.. A god awful movie about giant snake things that only fight one other dragon in the last few minutes of the movie. Everything terrible that a movie can do, the Dragon Wars has done.
Not sure what movie it was, but it was one my mom put on during a family dinner. The movie was about a zombie invasion, but playing rock music and smoking pot made the zombies docile. It was a horrible movie that tried to be a horror-comedy but utterly failed to be worth the time to watch it.
