I have been attempting to find people who enjoy QI in the United States (or even in Britain.)
For a quick summary of the show, it is a hosted by Stephen Fry (the dude who did the voice over for the LittleBigPlanet series) and you can say it deals with common sense facts that might or might not be considered wrong.
Each season revolves around a letter (seasons 1=A, 2=B, 3=C, etc.) and is quiet fun next to the random British Political/Pop-culture humor.
I have the board game, I have a so-so number of books (Im a poor college student). QI is amazing and I think would garnish a HUGE american crowd even if it is just pushed out as is.
Each season is getting better and better, which is rare nowadays. Thank god for British TV, the only good stuff now, because even Americans trying to copy it turns out crap (Example: Life on Mars. Fuck them. Fuck THEM. A hell of a show, and they butchered it! ARGH!)
I also think its interesting (Quite...) that you introduced him as the voice over for LBG, despite his wealth of work...
I love the way each series follows a letter of the alphabet, and Alan Davies is just a great part in the show. Lets not forget Fry's voice in Fable 2/3 as Reaver.
I can't believe this thread is only 1 page. I love QI, sister introduced to me and I watch it religiously on tv. Alan Davis and Stephen Fry are brilliant. This has to be one of my favourite moments or this.
Awesome show! Remember watching the first series almost 10 years ago!!
Makes me feel old lol.
Best episodes have bill bailey and/or phil jupitus on it.
Plus I'm quite excited (as a fan of who's line is it anyway) to see Greg proops is going to be on one of the episodes from the newest series being broadcast here in the UK.
the only good thing about the BBC is that they are not taking down the episodes on youtube when they go up. so in the US I dont have to try to find them elsewhere on the internet.
This show introduced me to Sean Locke, whom I consider one of Britain's greatest comedians ever, and also led me to start watching 8 Out of 10 Cats. So, even without all that, even if this were just a very informative and witty show hosted by Stephen Fry, I'd still love it. It's actually taught me a lot of British references. More or less what I'm trying to say is that I totally get where this woman is coming from (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7qfVD_TXiA) and someone needs to persuade him to continue his genetic line.
Amazing show, extremely funny and informative. The only thing that would improve it is bringing Hugh Laurie on occasionally. A Fry and Laurie reunion would be one of the funniest things ever.
There was the reunion programme on G.O.L.D (used to UKTV Gold) but a full series would be amazing :)
This might be slightly off topic but I've been on the QI ticket waiting list for 4 years now (I pretended I was 18yo) and other people who have registered after me have received tickets? I apply every year only for 2 tickets but to no avail.
