OK so some of you may have noticed this guy/girl. I didn't except for when i got my dvd and looked at the back then forgot about him/her. then i missed him/her while watching untill i watched the commentary where i believe seb pointed him out.
My question to you is WHO THE HECK IS THIS GUY!!??
Oh and if you don't who he is it's the blue odst whos in the room when they are planning the heist and in the pelican at one point. that's where i've noticed him
so i juat re-watched it and it looks like the insurrectionist odst except blue maybe hes just an advaced guard...idk carolina has that one behind her so there could be like a heirarchy of soldiers..
I haven't seen the DVD bonus features but it seems to foreshadow freelancers that we didn't hear about in season 9. I know this isn't part of the discussion, but i want to put out the idea of a elite freelancer
Whoever the blue feelancer is, it's more than just an extra. If he/she was an extra they wouldnt include them on the poster. And im not so sure that whoever it is is just a guard. I mean, do the top 6 freelancers really need a guard? Im sure there'll be more of him/her in season 10....
Okay, from another post i was reminded of something else. The blue freelancer MUST be important. If you think about it, theyve only shown us a handful of characters. And all of them (cept like Murphy.... and the shark flamethrower guy....) have been relevent to the plot.
I think That the blue freelancer is either someone like Agent Minnesota or agent Alaska mainly due to color and the nature of the armor, but there is the chance that it's just a normal ODST assigned blue armor because he works for freelancer but is not an agent. i do hope it another agent because they are starting to run out of good agents i mean Tex, york, north and south Dakota are dead and supposedly Main (but i don't think he is hes a tough mother fucker)
I've heard theories about him being Caboose. Personally, i think he's just another Freelancer who will be more recognized in Season 10. By the way, does anyone know anything about when Season 10 will come out?
Utah - Can't be, Utah was already dead in training before the heist took place.
2nd Pelican Pilot - Not possible, he is seen riding inside the 2nd Pelican when agent Carolina is being retrived after being injured, not flying it.
Caboose - Plausible, it would explain Caboose's super strength and prowess with electronics, however he would have had to suffer some sort of injury to explain his... simplicity.
Another Agent - Likely, time restraints have often caused the loss of other characters throughout the story, it is possible they had to cut scenes with our little blue ODST buddy or he/she doesn't have a voice actor/actress yet. I'm hoping they elaborate more on the character, I just hope he's not a mirror of Halo ODST's "strong silent type". I think his role will become more important in season 10 with casualties mounting (Utah's death, York's injury, Carolina's injury, North Dakota's injury, Maine's injury, etc.) Suggested Names: Rhode Island (Rhody) South Carolina Alaska Massachusetts
I'd also like to propose a new theorie... one of my own. The possibility that he is an insurrectionist working for project freelancer (a traitor), it would help explain where they got all their intel and why he isn't a part of the missions (combat) he/she is too valuable to project freelancer to lose.
S/he could be the second pilot. When we checked in with North and the rest of team B they were hiding behind something large and damaged, it looked like the pelican to me. It's possible they crashed and 479'er just had to pick them up along with team A.

Double checked the footage it was a destroyed car not a Pelican, only CT, North and Wyoming were present, the Blue ODST wasn't with them.
I shouldn't have said not possible however it's highly unlikely unlike four seven niner the blue ODST freelancer is not unarmed, he's carrying a shotgun in the poster, as well as never being seen actually flying the pelican.
I read a different thread with a theory about Pvt. Jimmy, and that he was hired to protect Alpha. (Pvt. Jimmy was mentioned by Church as one of his buddies on Sidewinder, but he was killed by Tex.). In the scene where they are planning the heist, the Director was talking to Alpha right before discussing the heist with the other freelancers. We see the blue freelancer right after the Director finishes talking to Alpha, and the only time that we see (or hear) Alpha in the facility is when the mysterious blue freelancer is there; My theory is that the blue freelancer is Pvt. Jimmy.
My theory is that the blue ODST is Alpha Church before they dissected him and came up with gamma beta ect... I think they were prepping him in a robotic armor possibly a Prototype so when all he is left they send him to blood gulch and the whole show unfolds.
Someone at the Freelancer training facility sounded suspiciously similar to Captain Flowers, so I can see Captain Flowers being the Mysterious Blue Guy.
There was a scene in Season 9 that had the Alpha and the Mysterious Blue Guy in the same room at the same time, so the Mysterious Blue Guy can only be the Alpha if the Alpha's programming was operating through the Mother of Invention computer system and a robot body at the same time.
The scene where they are in the same room as each other gives strong evidence to support that the blue freelancer is not Alpha. Although I suppose it would be possible that he could be a robot and Alpha is in both the robot and the Mother of Invention computer at the same time, but then what about Gamma and Wyoming? Gamma is in a computer as "Gary", but he is not with Wyoming at the same time. If Gamma had this ability, why would he not use it? But then again, the other AI are only fragments of Alpha, so maybe they did not inherit the trait to be in two places at once.
It cannot be an AI remember that the alpha wasn't split yet because of how calmly he spoke with the director. The MBG is just the 2nd pilot for team B. They probably got surrounded and something happened to the pelican which is why he was in the pelican at the end of the mission.
