I know right! I was on IMDB recently and looked him up cause I just found out he composed E.T. and Jaws and I was shocked at all the movies/tv shows/etc things he composed. The guy is a freaking master of music.
When I think movie theme song my mind usually goes right to Bond. Yeah there's crappy Bond songs like the Madonna one but, man, You Know My Name, the one by Chris Cornell for Casino Royale is such a great song and fits that movie incredibly well. You've also got other legendary Bond songs like Live and Let Die that cannot be overlooked.
So who do you guys think is the greatest composer in cinema history? John Williams, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, or Danny Elfman? I gotta go with John Williams. Man's a freaking genius!
Damn, I'm right there with you on both, great themes. Howard Shore did an awesome job with LotR's. Especially when you bring in the time factor of the movies being finished at the last possible moment.
I'm actually a little surprised at Tron Legacy and Hanna's scores; not usually my style of music, but damn they fit their respective films. Love the Tron Legacy theme especially
I do really like In the House - In a Heartbeat, from the 28 __ Later series. It more or less became the official theme after it was featured in both movies.
