All my friends play this game so I wish I could get into it. I probably don't have time to play with my backlog of Steam sale games and the upcoming Guild Wars 2... If you guys had to suggest what sort of champion should I play as in LoL?
Well, there's 5 roles you can play, Solo Top, Mid, Bot Support, and Bot AD carry, and the jungler.
Solotop - The badass who does nice amounts of damage, and yet hard to kill, this role is generally played by bruiser champions such as Riven, Olaf, Jax, Nasus, and my favorite, Yorick.
Middle lane - Is generally occupied by the AP carry such as Leblanc, Ahri, Zyra. These champs can do tonnes of burst damage with their skills, but can die way too easily.
Bot Support - Their job is to support the AD carry to get more farm, and make them do more damage. Supports generally have heal skills and a few harassing skills to make them great in lane and generally do not farm minion kills at all, thus concentrating on harassing the enemy, and keeping the AD carry alive. Some good support champions include Sona, Soraka, Alistar, etc.
Bot AD carry - Similar to the AP carry in mid, the AD carry is very squishy and deals tonnes of damage, but in the form of autoattacks instead of skills. These champs require intense farming so that they could purchase powerful items which causes you to do incredibly insane amounts of damage. Some good AD carries include Vayne, Caitlyn, and Corki
Jungler - This guy farms up in the jungle, and ganks lanes. Playing as a jungler may seem less stressful because you're not facing an opponent, just pve enemies. But as a jungler you require skills to "gank (team up on a lane)" to get more kills for your team. A good jungler has AOE skills and sustain skills to make him a scary threat when seeing him randomly pop up in your lane trying to kill you. Good junglers include Lee Sin, Udyr, Warwick, Shyvana
So now it's up to you to choose which roles you like and try out different champions. Different champions can have many playstyles so learn up, and have fun ^^.
When I play with my friend I go Leona support since we play really aggressively. I love to go Orianna mid and I'll play Amumu or Maokai in the forest sometime too.
I haven't been much of a jungler but it looks insanely fun. Any tips for a new jungler? I have Fiddle, Udyr, Amumu, and Evelynn, just need to practice being in the jungle and what to do.
Well, as a jungler, you basically need to gank well, and not waste time trying to set up ganks, as that cuts into your jungle clear speed. Practice makes perfect! Keep trying to jungle and get better with every game. And make sure that hopefully the lane champ gets the kill so that they can have more advantage in the lane. Also as a tip, watch some pro junglers such as Saint Vicious's stream and learn from what they do. GL jungling :D
pick up dr.mundo for jungling, i can single handedly duel any if them as mundo and come out on top, as well as having the quickest clear time, by the time the minions get to the top i am already ganking as mundo
Problem is with mundo, he ganks with too little health. If everything goes a-wire, then both the jungler and the laner dies, and the laner receives buffs.
what do people think of the new Kat relaunch? every regular game i play there is a kat on both teams. i fear with her new q de-buff and her aoe attack she kind of replaces Akali in some ways.
rivens a good buy, and in regards to katarina she is a easy stomp, her e q is good but any hard cc will stop her, annie is probaley the best example of this
