So I realise I am a sponsor and so I therefore don't get ads on videos on Roosterteeth, but I do get them on Achievment Hunter. I don't care about the ads themselves I realise it a marketing thing or something (probably)......but could someone at least try to put an ad on that I could be kinda interested in. Every ad on achievement hunter atm is for FUCKING MAYBELLINE NEW YORK! I MEAN WTF!!
I don't think the ads for the AH videos are controlled by Rooster Teeth. They are probably managed by the external host of the videos, Blip. Every time I see an ad for Starbucks Via, I want to shoot myself lol. I wish I didn't get them, hell I'd even pay double sponsorship to not have them on AH. But eh, it's probably just too expensive to host all of the videos that AH puts out. Hmm. Of course, now there are ads on the RT portion of the site for me. Weird.
the reason for this i believe is that there was an issue with watching videos as a sponsor as they just wouldn't play thanks to a problem with the video host, blip.tv, so as far as i know they switched out sponsor videos (w/ no ads) to the non sponsor videos (w/ ads) so that we could actually watch the videos.
Yeah, I heard that too. I saw it somewhere else in the forums. Yay for being able to watch videos! lol. Boo to Starbucks, Via! lol. I heard that Ben was working on a fix to the issues as early as last weekend.
