Oh come on. It has pretty lights. Water spouting up. The marlin at the top turns in circles. It totally doesn't look like something that would be outside of a kids' water park ride or that it probably cost like ten dollars to make. That thing alone is going to draw fans to the ballpark in droves. They'll be at least three or four that will come just for that. Which means that they effectively doubled their average attendance with that marvelous contraption.
Speaking of starts, the baseball season began yesterday morning. A's-Mariners played a two game series in Japan. First game wasn't live on MLB Network, but the second one was. Ackley hit the first home run of the season with a 438 foot shot in the first game. Yoenis Cespedes hit his first ML home run earlier today.
Also, Red Sox finished the Theo trade about two weeks ago. Cubs received Jair Bogaerts (brother of Xander Bogaerts, another Red Sox prospect. Xander has a lot more potential though) while the Red Sox received Aaron Kurcz.
