I still remember one of the funniest things, which was probably because of how tired we were, was while playing starcraft. That game would take hours and hours sometimes. We had three computers networked playing it back in the day and we had been playing for about 4 hours with three of us and some bots. We had built up awhile to finally take out the bots then had to take out each other. We had maybe 15 minutes left to go until someone won. At this point it was hard to say who was going to win but we never found out because I accidentally kicked the power strip. Needless to say my friends probably would have been so pissed but at that point we had been laughing so much about how long it was taking it was more funny than anything else.
Thanks for letting me be a part of this Caitlyn, I thought id share my own story. (Don't worry guys, I'm withdrawing my name from eligibility. )
So I was walking home from the bar late one night a couple months ago and I noticed an older black couple with a broken down truck. I crossed the street and asked them if they needed any help (as I consider myself to be a fairly decent mechanic) and was greeted with blank stares. One of them pulled out a piece of paper and started writing to me that their truck broke down. Of course I realized that they were both deaf. So i communicated with them about what happened via the piece of paper (when that filled up we used my phones notepad app) and after some difficulty (most car diagnostics are done by hearing the car) I was able to establish that their engine had siezed. So I called AAA and used one of my free tows to get them home. Because the tow truck driver wouldn't take them unless I was present, I went with them and they used their second car to drive me home. It was a hell of an adventure and a great feeling. They were so sweet, they even sent me home with a plate of cookies that she had made earlier in the evening.
i was once playing assassins creed revelations multiplayer and saw someone stuck in the roof (as you do) so i decided to have a look. when i walked over i glitched out and flew across the map. during this flying extravaganza i somehow managed to kill my target for 4000 points witch led me to win the the game i laughed for about 2 minutes straight.
it was while playing online on Fifa 11 with my best friend. My friend had just scored a fantastic goal (much to my embarrassment) and his player had fallen over after the shot due to a collision with my keeper. My keeper stood up and put his hands on his hips in disbelief. Meanwhile my friends player who had scored tried to stand up to celebrate but somehow got his head stuck in my keepers crotch. After about 10 seconds of vigorous shaking and struggle his player broke free only to become stuck on one of his team-mates in the same way. This time it only lasted about a second before the cut scene skipped and play resumed. Me and my friend still talk about that as an amazing Fifa moment and we both believe it should be added to the selectable celebrations!
Me and 3 friends were attempting the halo 3 "Annual" achievement, and were on the final stretch of the level, racing in 4 ghosts towards the end. Now, about 3/4 of the way, 3 of us die, leaving my pal Ben to keep going until we re spawned. Now he's driving all over the place, and we are all yelling at him not to die. He says over the mic;
"Don't worry guys.. I GOT THIS"
As soon as he stopped speaking, the panel in front of his ghost exploded, and he fell right through. He bursts out "OH FUCK"! And due to this, not only do we restart, his mum hears him swear, and disconnects his xbox from the main plug.
3 years later, i still haven't gotten that achievement
I was once playing Team Fortress 2 online, and I just stopped in the middle of combat and started yelling "Medic!". A sniper from our team stopped next to me and started doing the same thing. Next thing I know, there's a Medic, then a Pyro, then a Heavy. And before you know it, there's members of the other team just standing in the middle of the map with my entire team yelling "Medic!". The game ended with every member of both teams just screaming "Medic!" at each other...
Biggest thing to help others? When me and my youth group helped rebuild houses in Louisiana and Mississippi during the spring break of 06, 07, and 08 after Hurricane Katrina. _________
Funniest thing online.... hmmm... I would have to say would be getting the entire matchmaking lobby (15 people and me) for a Big Team Battle Match in Halo Reach to sing Winter-Wrap Up.
My story isn't very long, it's about my friend Haley. Haley and I have known each other for about 3 years, (since I was a sophmore). At first we didn't get along all that well, I'm a smartass and she punches me for it. Anyways, over the years we've gotten to know each other and have become really good friends. About two months ago I got a call at about 11pm, Haley's aunt had tried to commit suicide and her family was on their way out of town to see her. She was at her house alone and freaking out, completely sobbing. I said "Hang on, give me 5 minutes." Five minutes later I was knocking on her door. I spent the next 3 hourse holding onto her as she cried her eyes out, telling her it'd be ok. I stayed there until about 4 in the morning when her parents called saying that her aunt was stable, at which point I made sure Haley went to bed and headed home. Haley and I started dating 3 weeks ago.
Well, I don't really have any 'good deeds' or helping people at ready access in my memory, so I'll supply one of the funniest moments I've had in videogames.
The first was a while back while I was playing the Reach Campaign, Legendary, All Skulls On, with Wikia and a couple of other friends from this site, on 'Sword Base.'
The level started as normal (at least, as normal as it can with All Skulls On), and proceeded to be a slightly grueling experience until we made it to the first Checkpoint--that Checkpoint being, of course, where one lucky player gets to take possession of the TARGET LOCATOR.
As luck would have it, I was that particular 'lucky individual', and was feeling a bit rowdy that night.
We went through the blast doors to the Wraiths and, instead of immediately killing both of them, tried to only kill one so I could maybe hijack the other one (since there's only one 'Hog, and it only fits three, and no-one wants to walk on Sword Base).
The first Wraith died immediately, but the second one got blowed up pretty badly by sustained fire from the 'Hog's gun (or something like that. Important thing is it blew up). So, of course, I groaned into the microphone, then got an idea.
A wonderful, awful idea.
As the Warhog drove off into the distance, I sighted my Target Locator on it, and held the laser on the 'Hog until I heard that wonderful 'beep!'-ing sound that meant it had achieved a lock. As I started chuckling into my mic, and the rounds began to fall from the sky, I heard 'What are you-- OH GOD EVERYONE OUT OF THE-- ... Mike, you're a dick.'

I haven't done just one thing for a person. I guess you could also say it was expected by me but anyway, here goes. My mom had cancer for 4 years before she passed away. Every day, when i came home from school, i would sit with her for a while, and talk to her about my day, and her day. After that, i would go on with my day, but i always promised her that she could text/yell for me, and i'd be there in a split of a second. In the end, there were some things she would rather have me help her with, than the nurses. It's not something special. I know that. But i know it meant a lot to her, and it meant a lot to me, because i miss helping her, even though it meant not being able to sit down for more than 20/30 minutes before being summoned again. That's my little story! see you around!
It was like 3am, my grandpa was calling my mom, and I was trying to sleep. Eventually I went to see what was wrong.There was blood in the sink so I ran and woke up my parents and we called 911. He could have passed that day. He's no longer with us. RIP. you were the best.
So I was sitting in my 3rd period English class one day, and all of a sudden a girl starts crying silently. Only a few of us had noticed so we asked her what was wrong, she slowly arose and we quickly found out what her dilemma was. She was wearing snow white pants, and towards her lower area, there was an ever increasing red blotch. So being the nice guy I am, I let her use my jacket to tie around her so she could slip out the classroom unnoticed. That was the nicest thing I've done so far that I can think of!
The best thing I have done to help someone was when I gave the money I had to buy a lunch to my friend that Hadn't eaten for 2 days ( That day I starved but felt nice for helping someone)
Hey guys, I'm liking what i'm seeing. some great stories; I've laughed and cried ("yeah, [i cried], so what, wanna fight about it" ;) ) but I'm seeing activity dwindle. I hope you guys are telling your friends. That being said; keep up the good work. I'm hoping, that out of this we'll have someone go out and do something nice because they saw how good people feel after helping someone in need. Helping people is how I have been raised, you know? The whole treat others as you, yourself would like to be treated. So in my life I have not just done one nice thing but many. The nicest thing I remember doing is when I looked after my Mum (m-u-m seeing as i'm Aussie) for almost a week when she was bitten by a White-tailed Spider (to which she had an allergic reaction). I took time off school to care for her, I would cook for her, help her up stairs, help her into the shower and things of this like. The thing that got me though is when she got better she offered me money, I didn't take it.
