FaceBook question?

So i've been wondering, if you've been attempting to introduce your self to someone, but never seem to be able to (like you've legit tried, not just "oh, I don't want/can't do it in person"). Is it weird, bad, fine or what if you send them a FB friend request? If you do, should you attach a message? What would you say in said message if yes?

Also if you get random friend requests what do you do? and does a message help, or make it seem weird?

I don't think you need to know someone well to send them a facebook friend request. If you just go/went to school or work with them or just talked to them a couple of times I think its ok. I think that having a message probably will help. Just kinda tell the person how you know them.

I personally do not accept friend requests unless I have seen the person in real life.

Go for it. Just don't be creepy about it. Find some common ground and just be casual. Did I mention don't be creepy about it? Seriously, don't.

In reply to Steffie, #3:

Yeah, thats my biggest concern, but on the bright side, if I do creep them out, I'll never see em again =P

I do add people I know vaguely, but I also ignore people comepletely even if I see them on a daily bases (i.e. people in my class).
