Am I the only one who think they need to release a big title Pokemon game with free roam and everything for the likes of Xbox, Ps3 and PC. I would personally love to re live those memories on the Gameboy. I know Pokemon have dedications to Nintendo so how about something for the WiiU. I know I'd love to see it. However maybe it would ruin the classic feel the current games on DS have.
A Console Pokemon game which follows the same gameplay style as the Handheld versions is certainly an intriguing idea, and something I've been wondering about myself actually.
Of course what the real issue here Like Tigersjunior pointed out is the combat system, which would feel a little slack if it weren't adapted properly. Though the recent Pokepark series would actually help out in this area, though aimed at a younger audience it has pretty clever little combat system. Where you actually fight as the Pokemon themselves, Freeroaming and attacking at your will. The Pokepark combat needs a bit of work, Z-Targeting perhaps and more unique arenas, but its certainly an idea that could be turned into a full fleshed-out game if done correctly by GameFreak studios :)
WOW! I remember Pokemon Crater. That was crazy. Everyone had level 100s because there was someone that you could fight that had either all rock, all water, etc. It was overall pretty good though.
