Yeah when I was playing a lot of WOW I did this all the time. I'd still buy the 360 games I was interested in but all I'd actually play was WOW. I bought Mass Effect on the day it came out and I don't think I actually played it for at least a year. Seems pretty silly looking back on it now!
Guess I'm the odd one. I've played through all of the games I've purchased, a good amount of them I play at least a second time with guide(s) to do a completion play through. I'm also not an impulse buyer, I don't buy games if I know I won't have time to play it for awhile, and I make sure to read both good and bad reviews from multiple sources. At worst I wind up picking up a game that I only find mildly enjoyable.
Gears of War 2, Street Fighter 4, PGR 4, Forza 3, Alpha Protocol, Dead Space
it just see it ina shop and go...oh only £5-15, may aswell, i did jsut get paid, get home fall asleep, forget i have it, but a proper game like Halo and never remember the other games, one day ill play them.....one day ;)
Too many times. I have the trouble where I'll say read a lot for a month, then the next month focus on something, then usually I'll find a good game and play it solidly then finish it and lose all interest, after buying another couple of games which I'll then just completely forget about. I got Halo anniversary when it came out, still haven't got past the 4th level.
Modern Warfare 3. I played the previous two games and thought I would want to just finish the storyline from the campaign but I can't be bothered to play it. I never did like the multiplayer so that's another reason why I guess.
I've done this quite a few times. Last Christmas and the year prior I got mostly just money so I used it on a lot of games. Picked up a lot of 'alright' used titles for really cheap and a lot I still have not touched to this day. They are on my list of things to do just can't be bothered to do them. A few I have played about 10 minutes of and got bored. I've also done this with some arcade games that were on sale so I got them when they were on sale but I still have not played them.
I got addicted to buying used games on Amazon last year and have close to twenty that I haven't played yet. I always intend to play them but there seems to be a triple A title getting released at the same time.
I will probably never play games like Mirrors Edge and the Darkness at the rate I'm going.
i tend to buy games that are like 10 dollars, play them for about 15 minutes then get bored of them and they sit on my shelf for 2 years. I can never bring myself to trade in games.
For quite awhile The Darkness was one of those games I bought really cheap and didn't play but I eventually played it and was extremely into it the whole game.
