So I'm looking for a car that gets 30+ MPG that I can drive comfortably. I'm 6' 4" 240+ lbs with broad shoulders.
The problems I've had with a lot of cars is that there's not enough headroom for me, the windshields are too slanted and drop the rear view mirror into my field of vision, there's not enough room for my legs to extend or rest comfortably around the steering wheel, the steering wheel is too low or won't pull out or raise enough, the seats are too small, and I think that's about it.
I currently drive a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport, which fits like a glove, but the MPG just sucks. I'm trying to keep the car the same size or smaller as I have to do a lot of city driving.
Classic Mini. I'm 6'3 and change, 220 lbs, and I have almost a full hand-width of headroom. Also, good luck finding a more enjoyable way to get 45 mpg city on 4 wheels. Oh, and 77 mpg highway.
I'd like to recommend the Ford Focus for it's great seats and great steeringwheeladjustability (triple word value), but headroom might be a problem. I'm 6'3/6'4 but I drive in quite downlow/sports-style of driving. Most of the VW products have seats that go back further but aren't as comfortable. What's your pricerange if you don't mind me asking? More specifically new or used. I'd like to recommend Skoda as well but they don't sell those in the US. Which is a shame because they are enormous from the inside (bowchickabowwow)
I'm 6'3" and I can comfortably drive a Dodge Caliber, I drove the SXT Sport with the 6 speed manual, and it was actually a pretty fun to drive and roomy for a small car.
