Not sure how many people seen this, some guy came up with a neat idea for what to do with all the ran down homes and factories in Detroit. Create a 200 acre park where you and a group of people are released to find a place to hold up while a horde of zombies is unleased. If you are bitten then you turn into a zombie and fight again the living. Said the "game" would go overnight so i'm guessing a 24 hour hour thing.
It is in the planning phase right now with the guy trying to raise the money to be able to do this. I think it would be cool if he could get the money for this and actually talk the city into letting them setup this type of thing. That would be a cool thing to go do.
Yes it is sad. To have that type of mass movement out of a city in a short time where many areas have 50 - 100% of their building empty is horrible. Looks more like a war zone than a once thriving city in the USA.
I saw this amazing article a few years ago detailing beautiful grand old buildings that have been left to rot. Even in decay they still look lovely but it makes my heart hurt.
