And here it is! I present to you the Red vs. Blue board game!!!
Back when I was in my mid teens, I did some daycare work, and, being a lover of games myself, and being around kids that had the same enthusiasm, I took to putting my years of trying to make good board and card games as a child to work, and came out with a hit that was thoroughly enjoyed. I shared the game with D&D-enthusiast friends, and now I share the game with you, the community! So here's a couple of videos:
Gameplay: (the latter third of a Team Slayer game, where the three players join the ranks of Blue Team on Episode 1, mission-titled "The Warthog".) www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TjYhAU_bm4
I apologize for the lack of board visibility- you can see what the game looks like physically in my second video, where, post-game, I introduce the rules and mechanics.
Any avid boardgame and RvB fan could replicate the game with some cardboard paper and pencil, or for the more artistic folk, MS Paint, some cardboard paper and a printer, or for the hardcore artistic folk, Sculpy, an oven, and acrylics! Or maybe just Halo Megablocks? When I free up some time, though, I might make more accessible copies of the rule sheets and game pieces by scan. But don't hold your breath.
