Hello there, for the past week or two youtube has been buffing really slow for me and a few friends. Now its just youtube that runs slow, every other website such as rooster teeth runs perfectly fine (Video wise). Ive been to a few threads trying to fix it but no luck... my internet connection speed is above the recommended (10Mb Down - 1Mb Up). Anyone else having these issues lately, or know how to fix it. And yes I have reset my router and modem, cleared my cookies and browsing history, restarted my computer. Thanks to anyone that can help me.

When you load the page, do you let it play on the default resolution (usually 360p) or do you turn it up to the highest resolution?

I've been finding lately that sometimes setting it to a higher setting will make videos load faster for me. I suspect this is because the servers hosting the default resolution are being bogged down by everyone else that lets it play on the default resolution.

I had some problems with youtube yesterday but nothing big, i just restarted my internet and everything went back to normal, but you tried that so i really can't tell a lot

If you're still having issues try to switch to youtube.com/xl , it's lighter for me and it also fixes my lag problems

I usually let it play in 360 or 480p, but even when I put it to 720 its still the same.....

I'm having the same problems, I think it's youtube's hosting at fault not your internet, i find that setting the time bar back to the beginning of the video make it start to render. Hope that helps :)

I think it may be a problem with the latest update to flash. Ever since updating flash a few days ago youtube and similar websites have been doing strange things.

I suspect this is a result of the way their doing hardware accelerated playback. They've been using driver specific solutions without publishing what driver versions they are building against, and it doesn't seem to match up to the most recent driver versions either.

I miss my old flash alternative, sadly that hasn't been updated since 2009 and lacks a lot of features websites use today.
