I'm borrowing a car from a friend who lives in Austin, but I'm not really one to drink and drive and it sounds like there's going to be LOTS of drinking in the evenings and during SideQuest. Is anyone going NOT going to be drinking and who is willing to be the DD?

Well I've been thinking about driving from Timmins Ontario. I have room for two people for a comfortable ride. If you got a license we can switch off. If your interested let me know and I'll see what I can do. I also don't mind DDing since I'll be 20.

So I just got approved for my car loan, which means I'll be buying my new car this weekend, which means I'll be available to drive up to 4 other people comfortably, 5 a little less comfortably.

I'm coming from Tyler Texas, driving west to Austin. If anybody is on the way (a little out of the way is OK, I don't want somebody to miss RTX over a few measly miles), I'll be more than happy to pick people up given they help with gas and parking.

I am driving from FL looking for someone to split gas and driving. If you live in FL or a state that is on the way to Austin.
Thanks

Which way will you be going? I'll be 20 as well, so no worries there. I live in Minnesota, so depending on which way you take, I'll be right on the way or in the far off direction.

A friend and I are looking for a possible rideshare---we'll be leaving from Bloomington, Indiana, which would more or less be on your way. I've got a license, and we could all split gas costs (from Indiana onward). So...maybe?

I'm in Iowa... I'd consider hitching a ride on your way through, too.

I'm coming in from Farmington, New Mexico. I could pick up anyone along the way between Farmington-Amarillo, Amarillo-Ft. Worth, and Ft. Worth-Austin. I'll be with one of my friends, and she's cool with it.

I'm not sure if you were replying to me or Air_cadet10, but just in case: my friend and I do not have a car, rather are looking for someone with one and some extra space. Thusly:

If anyone is headed to RTX from the Midwest, and need two people to share gas money with, my friend Chris and I are leaving from Bloomington, Indiana. I'll actually be leaving from Delaware first, so if you start out on the East coast, that would be even better. I have a driver's license and have not crashed into anything except while driving Warthogs. Also might be looking for a third or fourth persons(s) to share lodging with in Austin. Message me if you are interested!

Posted this in the hotel thread, but I'll post it here. Driving from Sioux Falls, SD, so if anyone needs a ride from the area or basically directly south, DM me.

One of my friends from Newfoundland just dropped out so I got some space, how many people are you and when would you like the pick up? I've been planning on going from the 1st to the 8th. PM me the details if you'd like a ride.

I don't get shitfaced to where I can't drive but if my girlfriend feels like I'm incapable then she'll take the reigns. She's very good about not drinking and driving.

I'm planning to drive down from Des Moines, Iowa if anyone needs a ride. Or if anyone has a spare seat and is passing near by that would work too.

Okay! I am tempted to stay in Austin until the next weekend because Hannah Hart of My Drunk Kitchen will be there, but maybe I can get a ride down... how much do you think your gas will cost?

In reply to WomanFriday, #27:

It will take approximately 30 gallons of gas each way so I'm expecting $105-120. Even just one way I would welcome the company. I thought about staying longer (before or after the convention) as this is my only planned vacation but I don't know what I would do the other days.

Okay, good to know! Southwest just started a sale and I think I can get a ticket round-trip for $300, but this may end up being cheaper. Let me check on a one-way ticket price...

We've got a carpool going from Ohio to Austin going, current have 4 but have room for 2 more if anybody's looking for a ride and relatively on the way. Leaving Thursday morning and coming back Monday, gas cost will be split evenly for the segments you ride. I think costs will probably be somewhere in the $30-40 range (one-way) if we have 6 people, could be more or less than that depending on where we pick you up though. DM me interested.

We're also looking for two more roommates for Friday and Saturday night (already have 4 on Thrus/Sun unfortunately), so that would interest you as well let me know.
