If you hadn't peged it as death/grind, we wouldn't deny it. I don't expect that this will be up everyone's alley, but I'm sure there are a few of you out there that would appreciate what we're doing. And for those of you who don't... there's a lot worse, really.
Band breakups suck. Been in quite a few, mainly because I couldn't find any good musicians for a while. All they wanted was Blink-182 covers, and I was like, come on! Let's do some AC/DC, foos. But yeah. Hope music still works out for you. Bands are amazing fun, plus responsibility for a band may increase your responsibility for other thing.. I guess.
Once exams are over (5 weeks to go and counting!), me and two other guys are gonna start a 3-piece. It's all up in the air at the moment and we just wanna start jamming and playing covers, but we got a New Years Eve "gig" at a friends place, so we got a bit of motivation behind us. I'm gonna be playing bass guitar and probably sharing the vocals with the lead guitarist.
Oh, and we'll be called "Special Guests". Don't laugh, it's clever.
I'm in a band. We have a bass, guitar (sometimes 2 guitars), alto sax, keyboard, and drums. I play bass. Right now we are working on a cover of Date Rape by Sublime and are also writing our own music. We have a classic rock/ska/modern rock sound. Oh and we don't have a name...yet.
I been in a Hardcore/Punk band called "Grandma Death" for 2 years. We just recorded our first EP "Haunted Ketchup" and made a music video for one of our songs. I, personally, am the drummer and batteries not included guy [ recording, sound, video ]. You can check Grandma Death out at www.download.com/grandmadeath
A couple friends and I are trying to make a hard rock/numetal band. So far we have a bassist (me), guitarist, and drunmmer, but no vocalists. None of us are any good at that. We've all be so busy with "real life", however, so we've only been able to get together once or twice.
I started this little pop punk band with some friends called "What's In A Name". We also are really poor so we cant afford any good equipment or to record. However, Apple (being the great company that they are, released GarageBand (this freeware app that lets you record music on your mac). With it, our band was able to record some songs. They are nowhere near studio quality, but its kinda cool for free. You can check them out at <www.purevolume.com/whatsinaname>. Just a warning, I never claimed my band was really good...
We are currently working on our EP which will be done in November. We are more of an indie rock. We have two songs recorded right now (both of which are our WORST songs...odd) but you can have a listen anyways.
Im in a band called September Mourning. We've been together for about 3 years now. We've phased in an out a few people. But at the core (the people who have always been in it) is me and our bassist. We got a gig in San Antonio on the 17th. IF youre in thje area, come check us out.
My band is called Final Card Random. We're a Christain Alternwative group with a bit of punk and hardcore indie stuff and what we like to call the "creamy acoustic filling" We're kinda like those chocolates you get for christmas where there's crunchy stuff on the outside but the inside is all nougat.

im in two bands at the moment... i play bass in both one is called the Chubbyie Bunnyies. and the other is the danish butter cookies... both are kinda punk the chubbyie bunnyies are mostly a cover band some gimmies and blink and greenday.... and the cookies... well we write our own music... most people like it....
i like the music, never been a huge fan of the pure death type vocals, but they work ok, i like the mix of melodic alot more ,but this stuff is pretty good :)
Cool, thanks. Even for brutal music, vocally Cephalectomy is pretty ridiclously over the top. I find that most people aren't into the vocals when they start getting into this kind of stuff. I like them, (well some, there's bad examples for any style) but there's bands I like where I absolutely hate the vocalist/singer. I won't let that keep me from listening to music I like tho.

September Mourning rox my face off, probably because i am the ORIGINAL fan....anyone around better go see the show-you know I'm there RDM!!
Listened to Cephalectomy. Death metal isn't really my thing, but I can respect what you all are doing and appreciate it. believe it or not we have played with a death metal band before and we had fun. Even mashed with their fans a bit. It was a lot of fun.
Me and a couple of my roomates set up a southern rock band, and toured crappy little county fairs "battle of the bands" , Since southern rock is about the most lovable music on the planet (especially in rural MN) we won all but one. The prize for these things was getting to play the rest of the night(don't know if thats normal or not). Anyway we would always end the night with an acoustic/electric version of Korn's fagget, and inevidably they would cut us out just after the "suck my dick and fucking like it part". We actually had to run from the cops in a couple towns to avoid getting busted (for saying swear words i guess). i always found it odd that the coordinators never caught wind of our reputation. hmm, its a lot better story when I tell it drunk, i promise
I'm in a single band. Confusion. I play bass. We still are looking for a singer. The first song that we put together was about Taco fixings. It rocked and still does. The song is called...Guacamole!
Well, I was the vocal in a 4-man band. But the leader kicked me out for no reason. It's a shame, I can rap good too. But we were unorganized, and one of the people in there I only met on the phone.
Lets see. Yeah, as you can imagine (I'm posting aren't I?)I'm in a band. We are a four piece called 'Breath Stroke'. We've had a grand total of 2 shows so far. Sadly, the first show went better than the second. waggoner3.tripod.com/breathstroke We are a christian alternative, metal, goth, punkish.. yeah.. we fit a lot of categories. We are sort of hard but not quite death metal hard.
I am one of the guitarists and recently promoted to the lead singer. I used to be the lead guitarist until I got promoted, so now both me and the other guitarist do a bit of both lead and rhythm. We were originally going to have a lead singer try out but neither me nor the drummer wanted a five person set and the other two were fine with having me learn. So right now we're working on our fifth song called 'Token' And we are reworking some other songs so I can sing them. We hope to have a demo recorded by the end of the year.
