How much more does it cost? If it has a reasonable price, you should definitely get it. if not wiat until it gets cheaper.

I don't know about the one you're asking about, but I have a Creative Movo2 4 Gb and the sound is awesome! Of course, I bought it for the 4 Gb Hitachi Microdrive that you can reformat and use in a digital camera. The drive cost 450 dollars when it came out, and this MP3 player (with that drive) cost 250 bucks. You get the player and you got a microdrive that cost almost twice as much in the deal!!

I would say that if you truely wanted to find out, go to Best Buy (if they have those) and see if you can demo one. But, I have been extremely happy with mine, as I use it to listen to music while I mow my lawn and even over the mower I really don't have any distortion or anything like that. The Muvo2 has the same noise to signal ratio the same as those really expensive Klipsh speakers (which I think is 2%). Not that shabby!

In my research between the two, I've found that the Creative Zens tend to run for about $100 cheaper than their iPod counterparts.

I'll have to try running by Best Buy and check the sound quality between the two.

Sound quality of the Zen has always been better than the Ipod...

To be quite honest, all the ipod has over the zen is looks and style, which to me was reason enough to buy it even though I already had a Zen...

Another benefit of an ipod is size...20GB ipods are nice and thin...good for slipping into your inside jacket pocket without creating a buldge

I am PC all the way so I cringe at thinking of buying an overpriced piece of fruit. But I have had an intolerable experience with Creative Labs- if anyone has the misfortune of owning the greatest sound card on the market (the audigy 2) you know what I mean- the fricker just stops working for no reason. oh yeah dell installed it so don't blame it on me and i have the newest driver and every patch they threw at me. Other creative products have also cause pains- I've fixed two friends' systems by simply tearing the thing out. anyway I am now done venting- the Zen may be a perfectly good player but don't get a creative sound card

and only buy the apple if you've already gone to the dark side and bought system

my friend had a zen 20 gig that he got last christmas and it fried on him about 3 months later. I dunno about sound quality, but the zen was bulky and fragile, he dropped it once and the battery fell out. Also the button setup seems counter intuitive; i found the little toggle switch used to scroll and select songs tough to use. But i think battery life on the zen is good, not sure on how long, plus you're getting more storage space for less.
