Wanna pimp out that new '72 Yamaha Hollowbody, or your new Jupiter Tenor? Give us some pics, yo.

Please don't shit on other people's gear -- one woman's trash is another man's treasure; we all tend to have special attachment to our instruments, and saying "omfg that Guild is a POS" doesn't do anyone any good. All I'm saying is be nice : )

And to kick us off, my beloved (and pretty fucked up) 1956 Copper Danelectro UB6 Baritone.

Fender American Strat with Marshall VS65R. I also have a Yamaha BB405 5-string bass and a Takamine EG334SC acoustic/electric, but I don't happen to have pictures of either of those.

I took this photo by accident ages ago (alliteratively) but it had all of my gear in it so I kept it. Left to right: Laney Hardcore amp, Epiphone Les Paul '56 Goldtop, Boss BF3 Flanger, Boss MD-2 Mega Distortion, Electro-Harmonix Small Stone Phaser, Boss DD-5 Digital Delay, DOD Stereo Turbo Chorus, DOD Envelope Filter, JHS Wah Pedal, Korg AX1G Multi. I've also got a 4 string Peavey bass, an unplayably painful Fender acoustic and a Hondo LP copy.

I like my pedals.

I have that same distortion pedal.

Once I get a new harddrive for my comp, I'll load pics and post them. I'm using my mom's laptop, so yeah.

cool, did you find that it sounds enormous and amazing on your amp but really tinny on everyone else's amp? I did. Although that's because the other guitarists I know won't let me mess with their levels. Bastards.

My band is me on guitar and the mysterious Mr C. D. Player on drums, bass, second guitar and vocals. So yeah, I reckon one person counts as a band. Anyway, I just love showing off my setup B-)

It's an old set of Ludwigs. Don't know much about them, but they sound great and I love them.

[ ok, posting in the right thread :) ]

i am searching a good overdrive/distortion pedal for my bass guitar
i need something "crunchy"... more in the death metal direction...
good distortion is welcome but not needed

who can give me some recommendations ?

i read much about "boss" pedals

e.g: http://www.bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=5

can i use that pedal with my bass guitar ? or is it guitar-only ?

In reply to boerdi, #20:

Distortion pedals will work for any electric string instrument. If you want a better sound they make pedals specificly for bass. The best thing to do is try some stuff out and see what you like best.

haha! I'm a good lefty. I play right handed. I think I've adapted well to right-handed life, except that up until a couple of years ago I couldn't use a can opener. So lame.

Get a Big Muff. You'll be able to dial in a very pleasant overdrive that can get pretty crunchy while maintaing the low end.

I posted an answer in your other thread, its a little cheaper than Nico's solution although is his probably better, but the digitech pedal will only run you about 70 bucks and it has pretty good variety.

I like more of a fuzz feel on my bass. I usually just run my rigg with high gain and run the volume low. Get a nice fuzz going.

Here's my sweetie. I know most people will be all like blah blah blah it's pink. But trust me, it's fucking cool. It's a hybrid guitar. My friend's dad made it, he's a guitar dealer. He buys and sells guitars and he hooked me up with this one for his cost, which kicks ass (ended up being about half what i cwould have paid retail). Fender pickups, Godin neck, best tuners you can get, and some no name body (does it really matter though?) I'm fucking proud of my piece. And on top of that he got me the amp you'll see below for half price. The Roland cube-30. Nice amp, some fun effects and whatnot goin on there. It's cool.
