Emperor's Justice just a scene that ive been working on, dunno if its any good but its for the Dawn of War: Warhammer40k series.
The forces of Chaos had driven hard into the left flank of the Imperial Guard task force that was attempting to bring refugees from the now abandoned hive city to the evacuation point at the Capital city 75 kilometres away. And as i sat looking out the firing slit of the Chimera that i rode in i watched as a lone Commissar stood to meet them, most of his men dead or dying, his chain sword gripped in both hands, his bolt pistol hanging, empty from his hip. The enemy came and he did not waver like most men would, he squared his shoulders, positioned his feet, and made ready to make his last stand. As the enemy wave came upon him, a wave of blades, and bullets, and bodies pushing against him, he recited his oaths to the Emperor, swung his chainsword in a sweeping motion, reaping the enemies foolish enough to stray within his reach like one might harvest grain with a scythe. This lone man, screaming his praise to the Emperor turned the tide of the battle, civilians in Chimera's like mine rose up, filed out, gathered weapons from the dead and dying, and took the fight to the Chaos scum, and at the end of the battle, most of the civilians dead alongside the Guardsmen who had fought so hard to save them, stood a lone Commissar, gore dripping from his chainsword, he dropped to his knees, blood rushing out of multiple wounds, and then he said "My life for the Emperor, i did him proud this day, in my attempt to protect his flock i have preserved all that i could and now i go to his side", he then glanced around at all the dead in dismay.
That was when i rose from my seat, the old terminator armor, damaged in the fight for the Hive City, barely operational, i managed to walk out and kneel beside this man. "You did the Emperor proud, but now is not your time" i said, as i pulled a syringe from my armor's medi-pak and injected him with it. "You will live, and you will serve me..."
