Has it been so long....?
Well, thinks went a little crazy about two weeks ago. Two weeks almost to the day, the kid I was helping apparently seemed to be regressing, and his mother wanted someone "more trained" to work with him. Seeing as the behavioral consultant who was supposed to train me either quit or was "let go" about a week before I started working with the school, I was never trained properly, and thus, I wasn't doing my job. In short, the school seemed to blame me for something that they never did, and on top of that, they left me feeling like a complete and total failure. So, I am no longer working with the kid with Asperger's... instead, I have been transfered to the IPC room (I have no idea what it stands for), and am now working with 5 very low functioning autistic boys, 3 of which don't speek. My first day had the highlight of one of the kids getting a tissue glued to his forehead. Since then, one of the other paraprofessionals was forced to resign for harassing the kids - long story.

Other than that, I managed to come down with yet another cold, and I currently feel absolutely terrible.... sore throat and the whole nine yards. I did have a good B-day, thanks in a large part to my guy Mark (love ya).

Oh, and I got that stats thing looked at again, since I got an A- on the final and for the class grade, I, my mentor, and even the psych head at my college agreed that it would be unfair to hold me to the new restrictions, and I can thus, be exempt from that other stats class. Though the psych head recommends taking it anyway to get to know the professor and to familiarze myself with the material, my mentor and I kind of think that it would be repetative and somewhat a waste of time. So, it looks like I will take the exemption, struggle through the last stats class, and keep my job at the school district.

Other than that, there really isn't much new happening. Hope all you are having good days and times... Have a good one all!
