      We’re super excited to see you all this weekend. Tonight is our first night, the unofficial formal night. We hope you’ve all gotten in safely! Meet us at the Imperial to celebrate the beginning of the weekend.

      Pre-sales for event tickets are closed, but Raffle tickets are now online. They MUST be picked up in-person at the event and prizes will ONLY be awarded if the winner is present.

      For those who haven't seen it, we've officially published the schedule for Saturday (and the rest of the weekend). Check out the event page:

      12PM-1:30PM: Arrive and mingle
      2PM-3:30PM: Podcast and Q&A with Barb
      4PM-6:30PM: Charity raffle and board games
      7PM: Raffle winners announced
      8PM: Ceremonial Irish Carbombs
      9PM: Jeff Rupert performance
      (schedule may change slightly leading up to the event)

      Sorry it took so long to confirm our venue. There were some logistical issues early on, and then just a lot of waiting on confirmations so we couldn't really announce anything. Thanks for your patience! See you lovelies in a few weeks.

      And just a heads up that our online shirt sales will be closing out this week. We'll be ordering some extra for purchase at the event, but if you want to ensure we have your correct size/style make sure you place your order by Wednesday. If you've already bought tickets or bundles and want to add shirts, shoot me an email at and I'll fix you up.

      It is with great sorrow that we must announce that 2016 will be the last year of this event. We've had an incredible ride and are so grateful for this group of nerds that has become our family. From the beginning, Uncon has always been about putting the community above all else, and we are so fortunate to have been able to continue the tradition of RvBTO and RTO.

      This doesn't have to be a sad event, however. This just means that it can be better than ever. Let's party like it's the end of the world! Tell your friends, kick all those folks off the fence, and let's make 2016 the biggest event yet. Help us go out with a bang.

      Hey folks! We hope everyone's 2015 came to a close happily, and we look forward to an exciting 2016 with all of you. Our team here at Uncon have already been hard at work planning for this year's events.

      First of all, be sure to save the date for WinTO: February 6. What exactly is WinTO? It's another excuse to get the RT community together in Toronto during wintertime, because we're impatient and can't wait a whole year to see your lovely faces again. Venue details have yet to be announced, but stay tuned for an update soon!

      Also, be sure to mark your calendars because the main event is back this summer! Toronto: Unconventional will be celebrating its third year on August 12-14, 2016. See you all there!

      Here they are, the t-shirts of Toronto:Unconventional 2015! We know these are the real reason you come out to our event every year (though our smiling faces are a pure bonus), and this year they have been made extra awesome by our very own Vicki, and the drinking shirt designed by Jozef!

      The pricing for shirts and bundles work like this: $15 will get you one awesome shirt. $25 gets you a shirt and a ticket to the event. $35 gets you two wicked shirts and a ticket to the event. Adding additional shirts to any of these bundles is $10.

      Hey hey! Happy Community Day everyone!

      Today, we are officially putting out our call for volunteers! We are looking for an awesome, hard-working group to help us pull off this year's event. We can speak from experience when we say that being a volunteer is an incredibly rewarding experience, since half of the current staff started out as volunteers for the event.. It is a lot of fun, you get to have a great time at the event with us, and it just ends up being a great time.

      We are especially looking for people who are technologically inclined. So, if you have experience working with sound equipment or just technology in general, we mean YOU! Fill out the form on by June 29th, and we will get back to you soon. This gives you two weeks to decide if you want to be a part of something awesome this year. But, don't take our word for it. See for yourself!

      For today's awesome post, we're telling you a little bit more about our annual talent show!

      Like we said before, you probably won't get a more supportive group of people in the crowd, so why not show us what you can do on an awesome weekend with friends?

      Depending on how many people sign up, you will have about 5 to 10 minutes on stage. We give you a stage and a place to shine, but anything extra you need (instruments, props, flaming baton, etc.) you have to provide.
