Have you gone through thick and thin to get a certain platinum? Well, then this thread is for you! I want to hear your crazy stories of how you got that coveted platinum.
I'll start it off. So, I bought DC Universe Online when it first came out and of course I wanted to get the platinum in it. But I couldn't pay the monthly subscription of 15$. So I had to get 6 characters to the level cap in the first month, which is free. It was a tough task, but I managed to do it with about 2 days left on my free subscription. And I have to say it was totally worth it. That is, according to PSNProfiles.com, my rarest trophy. Only .095% of people that play the game end up getting the platinum.
Now i'm no Bill Shakespeare, but that's an example of what I want to hear from you, THE PEOPLE!
Hunting for the Prinny Pirates in Disgaea 3 was tough. Took one day to get them to finally to spawn. The battle was immense and I nearly wiped. Down to my last guy, which was Mao, almost dead. I thought well damn, if I wipe here, I have to spend another 20 plus hours maybe to find those pain in the ass Prinnies again. They were next to each other so I decided to use Big Bang. I breathed a sigh of relief when they fell and I stood VICTORIOUS, Muahahahaha!!! Went to sleep, woke up and finished the last three trophies for the reverse pirating and the platinum was mine.
Catherine was another one that was tough. The Babel Tower climbs sucked, especially AxisMundi. I've played hard skill based games before but this challenge drove me insane because each run on thise tower is random, there is no set pattern to follow. It's all luck and skill. It was so frustrating that I almost destroyed my controller in my hands trying to do this. Here's a sample of a run
