Rooster Feast
Traversing the nation, one restaurant at a time

Our Origin Story:
Geoff and Gus seem to sneak a new restaurant into just about every podcast and we figure it would be a shame to let their refined tastes and cultured cuisines go to waste. ManiacMidget, SelectPanic, and KiltedColin came together and declared an invasion of Austin's unique food culture.

Join us in our ventures, list your own recommendations for your city, or your opinions on Austin delicacies. Add to the list if you have a favorite restaurant that deserves some attention, Austin or otherwise. Together we will find the best dishes and the finest feasts.

Join the group and join the tour, the more people we get going with us the better because let's face it, if you're going to eat a ridiculous amount of food, why eat alone?

I miss Texas Tex-mex

Seriously guys. It's so hard to find good tex-mex outside of Texas. Obviously the name would imply that you could only find tex-mex in Texas, preferable near Mexico, but you would think imitations would pop up in the Texas-deprived parts of the nation. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

In Denver, we have looked far and wide for some good Tex-mex but all we've found is some ok Mexican food. And for some reason my boyfriend's coworkers think Tex-mex means you add corn to Mexican food. What is that about?
