Why the hatred for snipers?
<rant on>
As someone who has both sniped and been sniped at in online games, I still fail to see why the hatred towards snipers. Yeah, it's frustrating sometimes, but just as bad are the people who turn off team damage and throw mortar shells around (yeah, I'm looking at you Tribes and Tribes 2 players!). Not fun to spawn in and get get gibbed. At least I know the sniper had to (gasp) aim to get me.
