Track After 2 weeks of insane tryouts, our track coach decided to determine who made final cuts by holding a meet between the athletes this morning. I was really nervous, not for the 100m dash, but for the 600m dash, since I have terrible stamina and we have to sprint the whole time. I ended up beating a senior to com in 1st in the 100m for my heat, and passed a junior on the final 50m of the 600m to come in second. After the meet, the head coach told me that I wasn't getting cut, and that I had made varsity track as a freshman! The competition is going to be tough, but i can't wait!
