I'm a Music Education major at Illinois State University. Whenever I get some free time, I'll play Xbox or watch Netflix or something like that. I'm engaged and getting married on January 3rd, 2015, and I am super excited for it. Have a nice day!

XBox One TrucksSo the XBox One trucks came to my college today, and I just got back from giving them a run. The two games that were there were Forza Motorsport 5 and Killer Instinct.

Holy crap I am excited for the next gen consoles. I guess I'll start with the controller? First off, ignoring the cables in the back to keep it attached so no one steals one, it felt wonderful to hold. The grips were just a little different from the 360 controllers, but your hand still fits on it awesomely. I started with a race in Forza, and despite the fact that I am not a big fan of racing games, this one was amazing. I don't know how much of it was because of the controller, but I will be honest, the triggers on it felt amazing. I got a little bit of resistance going around corners when my wheels started to skid, and I was able to get back on without any problem at all. So cool. I somehow won the race, and was graced with a cut scene of the car I had just used beat all to hell. Why? I have no idea, I actually stayed on the track somehow.

Next was Killer Instinct, which I am not familiar with at all. I chose Thunder as my character, mostly because I wanted to yell "bring the thunder!" I know, I suck, deal with it. Anyway, I chose the typical fighting game strategy and hit as many buttons as I could as fast as I could. Hey, I won, no complaints here. But the buttons felt a little weird to me. It might just be because I'm so used to how far out the buttons are for the 360 controller, but these were barely even anything. Not entirely sure how much I liked it, but it doesn't seem like it would be too hard to get used to.

This was such a great way to spend even just 15 minutes on my Thursday afternoon, and I am absolutely going to go back and get some more time with it after this class lets out. Stupid school. Before this I was a little excited about next gen, no enough to have pre-ordered one for myself. But this makes it really hard. I want it. I want it baaaad.

TL;DR XBox one trucks came to my school. I came, I played, it was awesome.
