My Lungs Taste Like BurningThats the best way to express how I feel after this weekend, Austin City Limits Festival weekend that is. For thoes who are unawares, its a three day event, with 8 stages, huge numbers of bands, and thus people (65,000 walked through the gates per day). I didnt see all that I wanted, due to bongo kids playing bongos and smoking bongs...os. So on saturday I saw....Augustana, which I already disliked, and thus confired my strong dislike (the set ended 20 minutes early. Weak) Arctic Monkeys, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Stephen Marley, and Arcade Fire. Sunday, I was so destroyed form the heat and fumes, I just went in the evening, saw the end of Wilco, and BOB DYLAN. Most people hated Dylan's style at the concert, but his lack of fancy lights, cameramen walking around, and running 20 minutes over his set time (thus breaking the sound laws of Austin), was pure Dylan, and I loved it. So yes, Great concert, very cool, and now Im still tired.
Alot of colleges visit my school, and I've been to a few, but Lehigh currently is my favorite, of all half hour I've spent thinking about colleges. Its extremely colse to where my grandmother live in Hellertown Pn., and thus is very close to much of my family. They are a strong engineering school, but the best part is the surrounding area. Ok, just a certain surrounding THING. One of the nations BEST velodromes and track communites is 15 minutes from the campus, which is AWSOME.
Not much else going on, cept school, which is insane, of course. Couple caving trips coming up, but the awsome stuff is yet to come.
Laters yo diggitys homies A thoughz Z,
-Alan
