Well I will not be at RTX this year. I had to go to the hospital today. Had dizziness and numbness in my arm the last few days. They thought it was dehydration. My heart and lungs checked out fine, but they want to do a follow up this week to see what else it can be. Between that and now no money I can not use my RTX badge. Well at least I have a keepsake for it, even if I can not go.

Stupid laptopI hate my laptop, It died again. The damn thing likes to go a few months then decides it wants to die on me. I have been able to get it to work again most times but this time I think I messed up what I normally do and it is toast. When I got it I did not know you have to make the restore disks yourself. I was in school at the time and they made me have to put vista business on it and they had to do it so they could put the secret network password on it. Well I had to pay for vista but they did not give me a restore disk. So I have a wiped hard drive with no restore disk, will have to buy windows 7. So moral of the story if you get a new computer, make a restore disk as soon as you get it running!!!!!!!!

Just bought my RTX weekend passI just bought my RTX weekend pass tickets!! Finished paying and registering 3 minutes after they became available. LOL now all I have to do is save the money to get down there and get a hotel room. Maybe I will already be living down there by the time RTX starts?

Applied at several Austin companiesWell I put out my resume and cover letter to several Austin game companies today. I also sent one to Rooster Teeth last week. Well I know RT is a shot in the dark, but it does not hurt to do them also. The game companies I did a all encompassing cover letter, since I have many skills and I can fit into different roles with in a company. With Rooster Teeth I had a specific type of job in mind. More in the business side as a game company representative. Basically some one that works with game companies in their needs of game commercials that RT does. Also work to find new companies that can use RT's services. I know RT does not do GDC, but I think they are missing out not having a booth at the event. Any way as I said it is a shot in the dark but I can try.

Assessment testWell the game company sent me the assessment test. She said she was sending the Environment art test, but she sent the Game Designer test? During the interview she asked what area I enjoyed most and I said game design and Producer role. They have a game designer job open so maybe she is looking at that or the producer job I applied for also uses the game design test for its assessment? Either way I would like both jobs more then environmental artist. Don't get me wrong that would be fun and cool also, but a lot more tedious, and does not pay as well.
