All roads lead to RomeSo the determination has been made that the trip will be to the eternal city, Rome. Some of my friends have said they are interested in going, so now there is a few people joining me on my trip. Little do they know that it will be a trip for 2+ weeks and will involve lots of history, drinking, great Italian food, sunshine, and walking. One of my Alvian brothers has pointed out that of all my gaming names I either use the name of my favorite hockey player (don't get me started on this travesty of a lost season) or of Roman emporors who built. Yes, all of them did, but Vespasian built the Colesseum.

Other than that my life has been the same old stuff. Went and saw Hide and Seek, and I was dissapointed by it. As the Phoenixrage said, if they ended it when DiNero said "Daddy isn't here anymore" it would have been a great flick. But alas, they didn't. I also saw Spiderman 2 and Shaun of the Dead over the weekend. Spiderman 2 was a dissapointment of epic proportions. At least Shaun was...well...Shaun. What was there not to like about it?

Other than that Valentines Day was a waste as always. I had no valentine, but the cashier at Stop and Shop kept me inline for a half fucking hour so I think she wanted to be my Valentine. Instead I thought about throwing fruit at her for giggles.

January 18th, 10:11 in the morning.So its a cold day today, no problem, I can go without feeling my ears, nose, fingers, rock hard nips poking through my sweater, shirt, and jacket. Been there, done that. No biggie.

But when we have just gotten on the train at 7:50 in the morning, and it gets 2 stops-which takes about 15 minutes in the lukewarm cabs- before it dies and loses power-and heat, thats no fun. I was ready to start curling up and snogging the hell out of whatever warm female body I could find. One would think that since its the modern era it wouldn't take too long to fix or get hooked up to another train, but ney, we didn't arrive to Back Bay station until 9:37... And now I am cold, cranky, and I think a female unabrow is stalking me.

Meet the fockersWent with the madre to go see a movie tonight, and I know that sounds pretty lame to most-going out and being seen in public with a parent, but hey, thats your issue, not mine. Saw meet the fockers at the local downtown theater with all the wonderful ignorant schleps running amock. Movie was entertaining, though the fun started after the movie. We went to have dinner at a local mexican restaurant called Tortilla Flats and I introduced my madre to margaritas. She had all of one, frozen, and is now shitfaced. Do I feel bad for getting her soused off one? No. Do I feel bad for polishing off my own pitcher of them on the rocks with a nice buzz and a small cringing from the tequilla (bad experiences), no, I wish I had more.

Earlier today I finally got around to watching King Arthur-which I bought when the dvd came out-but finally watched. Good flick.
