Moar Journals!Well lookie here, I am keeping up with this! This week's Retro I pulled back to a happy middle ground of being overly happy (UT) and not at all (RvT). It really does boil down to time of day. Back in the past I used to record these at about 10am the day the episode would come out NOW I am doing at about 5pm or so the day before. Much more awake and active. I'm learning! Also it helps how batshit insane the game is, I fucking love it. Next week will start either a two or three parter. Not sure yet

On the subject of other people you should watch is this Dark Soul's LP it is still going (and not updating the Playlist) but is super enjoyable and I loved watching it. Also this GIF from the newest part is amazing:

Updates and stuffWell this was a lot better huh? Made a conseous effort this week to "bring the thunder" as it were and the response has been great! This makes me very happy this week. Now to do this EVERY week that is the tough part.
What I should do here is plug my other projects but I hate self promoting. It always feels dirty to me. Like I am begging for attention. Eh I am weird sometimes
Robocop Vs The TerminatorSo on the newest Retro I am seeing a lot of "man this one was terrible." I personally would not call it terrible just a bit lazy. I was just a touch too lazy this weekend and didn't start working on this until mid Monday (Mainly due to not being able to find my controllers AT ALL for my Genesis). I feel that the editing could have been LOADS better and looking back I feel that I made an episode for the sake of having one out. I am vocally against doing that and here I am . . . doing it. The best thing I can take away from this is that I need to really focus on what I am saying and proof the episodes to hell and back so that I do not repeat this.
If I can't learn from something like this I do not feel like I should keep making videos.
Also fun mistake I made: When I mentioned killing dudes and eating baby food I had a clip just of that then it was to cut to the terminator fight. Somehow that got lost and I missed it in my proofing
So here are them details about the Extra Life stream that is starting 24 hours from now. As I said before the first 14 or so hours will be all co-op stuff. There will be a ton of games played (ranging from Serious Sam 3 to them Halos) but here are some of the highlights: RolloT (from Channel Awesome and his great podcasts that he does) said he will join in and do some Mass Effect 3 goodness, Jester will joining in around 5pm EST (-5 GMT) or so for some Resident Evil 6 and finally in Minecraft . . Survival Craft. Want to join in? Well there will be a contest during the stream on people to join in!
Other than that stuff I will be playing some other games (snagged Dishonored for play after the Co-Opness is over) but the details on that will be fast and loose depending on you crazy people who are still around for that!
Sorry this took so long to get to but I had to get a few ducks in a row first buuuuuuut once again . . . . EXTRA LIFE!
So once again I will be doing a full 24 hour marathon on the 20th of October (as in this Saturday) for charity but unlike last year where I kinda flew by the seat of my pants, THIS year I going to do LESS flying. The first 14 hours or so is going to be ALL Co-Op games with a ton of guests. Who you may ask . . . . well for the most part they haven't been asked yet BECAUSE I just got my Extra Life ducks in a row! There will be new journals and whatnot containing who and what games at what times will be played. I can tell you though that when the Co-Opness is over there will be some: XCOM, Dishonored, Metal Gear Solid 3 HD and some Shadows Of The Damned. So I hope you tune in for some sexy streaming from 10am EST (-5 GMT) until the same time the next day!
Stream IdeaFirst off HOLY CRAP a new journal. I don't tend to write these very often because I tweet way way too much so I tend to feel that I am just repeating myself (which by the way you should follow me if you want more of my witty incites into things of various nature with "fuck" thrown in often because I am classy) but I am here to ask a question:
Recently we did a stream of Borderlands 2 which made me wonder, would you guys like to see a "Co-Op Night?" It would be myself and the people I tend to stream with getting together to play some co-op goodness for a few hours in games that range from Borderlands 2 to Mass Effect 3 to even Catan.
Would you guys like to see that more often as something that is every other week? Or should I just do playdates in games Caleb doesn't own (like Transformers: FoC)? Let me know below!
But in all seriousness ME3 hits in under a month (SO FUCKING EXCITED) but I have a fun question for you all: What do you think could serve as a fourth game that has nothing to do with Shepard? GO!
(I would love a game that is pretty much Arkham City but you play as Garrus. Best. Game. Ever)
AHTV and Personal StreamsOne of the things I have disliked (not hated just disliked) is that when it comes to a game that I really just want to play (like Mass Effect) it has been difficult for me to sit down and play it by myself or with one other person. I have always felt that AHTV is more of a variety show that just happens to have video behind it instead of being a "proper" video game stream.
Because of this reason I have started to stream a few times on a personal channel over on twitch (which just happens to be here) and have been thinking on the games to play. The first one I did was a playthrough of Mass Effect and started into the sequel (which I am now going to hold off on and do in AHTV) but the next game I have planned is the Metroid Prime Trilogy. Debating on when to start this but I really want to beat the series with the awesome Wii controls.
So keep a look out on my twitter for updates on when that is going to happen!
