It's been a while, skimming recentlySo, I'm going to Vegas next week!!! Totally psyched!! I made a goal, I want to go to AT LEAST one place new every year, and I'm going to see Rise Against and spend a couple days in Vegas as this years achievement. I'll find out Friday if I get to go to Austin to RTX in May before summer semester begins, (aka if I get tickets, which I'm aware almost everyone else on the site is too), which would be even sicker!!! If not, I wanna take a weekend and go to the Grand Canyon in the summer (might do it regardless). And of course, there is the annual Blizzcon trip, but that is not new, unless we make a week of it in different parts of Cali. At any rate, I'm really happy to finally be obtaining one of my life's goals.
As for school, this semester is not turning out how I had expected.... Umm... I'm getting an A in math..... XD Only taking SLG and MAT. SLG is going ok, I'm learning A LOT and falling in love with the language, but the teacher is just a fill in, so parts of it are kinda rocky. I'm defiantly going to stick with it for a couple semesters, and hopefully become involved in the deaf community a bit. MAT, I just never thought in my life I'd be doing so well. Yes, it is a lower level class, but it's building my confidence to know I'm like in the top 5 of the class! ^.^ It's getting me pumped for the next year. By the end of next Spring (2012) I will have an Associates of Arts Degree in Sociology. Now, I don't plan on going into social services or anything like that with it, but it opens a few doors to a few things. I have three ideas in the air atm: continuing on at Pima for a little while longer and expanding on the language of ASL I could go for an Interpreters Degree which would end up at NAU, start some kind of a management degree at U of A or NAU aiming more towards something human resources, or something having to do with pursuing law. My aunt suggested the law one to me recently and haven't talked to anyone (advisers) about it yet. It is the kind of critical thinking and hard work it takes is right up my alley though. It was something she said to me while we where talking about it that really clicked, almost depressingly enough. "Katie dear, if you are going to spend your life arguing with people, you might as well get paid the big bucks for it." ...... She has a point!
Well thats enough for now, nice to get some of that out of my mind and in text.

BlizzCon 09 Here I come!Guess whos going to BlizzCon?! WOO HOO!!! I got us tickets today, I was less then 2000 in queue. lol I forget to breathe sometimes when I'm excited and nervous... and I was getting them while I was at work. And I'm a dispatcher, so I talk on the phone... It made it interesting thats for sure! So, its going to be me, my bros, and David<3. I'm so psyched!!! Its so costume time!

Weekends RockSo weekends totally Rock!
I've been looking some of Luke McKays art. If you appreciate art and have only seen what he does for RT comics Check out his other stuff, he's VERY talented. Anyway, looking at his stuff inspired me to paint some more. So I did a painting for my dad for his Bday!
I'm quite proud of myself for this. I did it just today!
And my sweetie bought me roses. Which are so nice to walk by all weekend! Unless you are trying to keep your cats from eatting them. LOL but really. It rocks
