The Walking Dead (Telltale)So I just sat down and played all of the new The Walking Dead game Telltale just released. This was my first Telltale game and while I have no desire to play the Jurassic Park or Back to the Future games since I know those stories (yes I am sure they are different from the movies but those universes aren't character driven and I am sure it is mostly a re-boxing of the original stories). However this game is awesome! I am a huge fan of both the graphic novels and the TV show and this is exactly what the video game should be. There is a ton of character driven story and a bunch of very VERY tense situations. This really should become a regularly occurring episodic game much like the novels. I know there are 5 total episodes scheduled but I really hope that is not the end of our story with Lee and Clementine. I would gladly drop the $5 for every episode they put out if the story and quality stay this strong, hell I am paying almost that much to read the books every month. I think this is the perfect way for episodic gaming to be done and I really hope that the people at Telltale games get a good response from this and keep the Walking Dead games coming past the 5 planned episodes and make it a continually running series.

God Damn It!My Xbox has decided to tell me to fuck off!!! I am pretty sure I need a new Xbox now. The disc tray has been giving me issues for a while now and since I am well outside of the warranty so I have gone inside and fixed the thing up several times but it is now not doing anything for me. I can still play all my downloaded games and watch videos which is the only reason I'm not at Wal-Mart right now. But this really sucks. I am going to be graduating from college in a couple of months and I don't have the cash on hand to buy a new systems. Especially when there is a good chance that the next Xbox will be coming out at the end of the year. FUCK!!!!!

Weirdest Dream EverSo this may be the weirdest dream I've ever had. But before I describe it a little back story. I have been watching Red vs Blue since season 1 when I was a sophomore in high school but I never paid much attention to anything else RT was doing until about a year or so ago when I began listening to the podcast. And recently I have had a lot of free time on my hand because I have a smaller college schedule and so I have started going back and listening the the entire back catalogue of podcasts so Burnie, Gus, and Geoff have been in my head a lot recently. So anyway my dream last night was absolutely insane. I was in Austin for god knows what reason and so I stopped by the RT offices and when I got there I noticed that this new restaurant had opened behind the offices and it was entirely outdoors and all of the tables were in swimming pools and Chris was back there and just jumping from pool to pool regardless of who was sitting at these bizarre tables. Then Gus Geoff and Burnie come outside and we begin to battle like a fighting game and the world around us turns into a neon mess and every time someone lands a punch or kick points pop up over their heads. There were two teams but I wasn't sure who was on who's team. Then I woke up. I wish I could say this was drug or alcohol induced but sadly it was not I am just fucked in the head.

My first serious MMO experienceStar Wars: The Old Republic.... god damn. I just got off playing through my first nine levels as a Cyborg Smuggler. I have not really ever played an MMO beyond 2 or 3 levels and those were Everquest way back in the early aughts or late 90s I don't really remember and a very brief WoW session that barely lasted an hour. But this SWOTR is something I can really enjoy. Not to say WoW isn't an amazing game but getting into it really a decade after it started really wasn't my thing. I just really am pumped to finally have an MMO to get behind because it is really the last type of video game I have not really played for any serious amount of time and I can now pretty much cross off my final bucket list of video game type...

Sitting in ClassMy god! I love environmental law and public policy and how it works so you think that this class would be right up my alley. But dear god this professor is really making it super boring right now! I wish I was closer to the door so that I could just walk out of the class without creating a huge scene but I can't!

Video Game Violence on the NewsI know it isn't an original thought but I always wonder why new outlets seem to use the most outrageous and violent video game footage from games almost a decade old? I think someone in the news room who plays video games should have a say in what the hell goes on the air.

Long Lost Love RefoundI have been a fan of Rooster Teeth since the first season of Red Vs. Blue and was on RedVsBlue.com all of the time back in 2003 but never had a "paid e-mail account" to join the site until I went to college in 2005. I had purchased the first printing of the first 3 seasons DVDs and loved everything about it. Sadly once in college I spent way too much time smoking and drinking and forgot all about RedVsBlue and about two months ago I was going through my DVD collection and found my RVB dvds and decided that I would check up on the RedVsBlue gang and damn I missed alot. I love this shit and am so glad I am back on this site at least once a week and can't wait for season 9.
