Special Edition on AmazonNot sure if this is actually a Special Edition Season 1 for nine dollars, or just a stock photo. If it is the real deal, these are exceedingly rare. The "Special Edition" was a joke we put on the first run of DVDs because we didn't yet know there would be a Season Two. So, calling the DVD Season One didn't make any sense. It was just "the Red vs Blue DVD" back then. If you have a Special Edition it means that you have one of the first 10,000 DVDs ever made. It also means that either @gus, @geoff or me personally mailed it to you. In a way, the Special Edition joke actually came to mean something. I don't even own one anymore.
BUT buyer beware. This may not be an actual Special Edition DVD. It may just be a photo they pulled to represent the product, not knowing the distinction. If you decide to buy it, let me know!
EDIT: THIS IS GONE NOW.

HmmmmmmmmmmbopI used to Siri on my iPhone a lot to dictate text messages, in fact I'm using it to dictate this journal right now. It's a little frustrating because sometimes it mangles my words or combines two words together to make a proper noun which makes no sense to me ever. Today, after all my bitching she decided to get back to me. When I asked to play my "truck" playlist, she said "playing some rock music". Then what did she play? Hanson's Mmmbop. Apparently that's what passes for rock music in my library.
You want to play it that way Siri? Let's go.

Bioshock Race Update #3Well, it was a very tight race but late last night I finished all the Achievements for Bioshock Infinite just before Ashley. Here's the final standings:

The points don't accurately portray how close we were. I had the exact same point total until I unlocked the final four achievements by finishing 1999 Mode. Ash was about halfway through her run when that happened. I had to set up a box on the set of our new Immersion shoot just to stay alive in the contest. Overall, we're both pretty relieved that it's over. That last run was a brutal, brutal grind.
In fact, a lot of people are asking for advice on finishing 1999 Mode. Ashley and I discussed it and we agree that the best strategy is just not to do it. Hope that helps.

Bioshock Race Update #2My achievement race with Jinx is getting down to the wire. After our run through of the main campaign, here's how everything shaped up:

Basically, she missed four achievements on her first pass. These four specifically:

It didn't really matter though because she went back and picked all those up in short order and now we stand at a dead tie. Each of us just has to finish 1999 mode to take the crown. Heading back in now. Wish me somebody luck.

Achievement Race 2013When I heard that Bioshock Infinite was releasing without any multiplayer -- and therefore no multiplayer achievements -- I asked Jinx if she wanted to compete in an achievement race with me. Like the Call of Duty one, I am sure this one will boil down to who can complete 1999 Mode the fastest. We will see. Luckily she still has her Raptr account tied to her Twitter so I can see exactly when she's playing. I can even have it alert me. Amateur hour.
Here's the results for Day One of the race:

I have a pretty substantial lead so far and I think it's going to get worse. I think I am way way ahead in terms of playtime, but the stats don't show it quite yet. Many of the achievements are collectibles, kill counts and max-out counters so I expect to get a flurry of unlocks later in the game. This isn't excuse making. I swear. Really.
Rules are simple: whoever gets 100% of all the achievements first, wins. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go save Columbia from a threat that doesn't really make a lot of sense to me at this point.

Live Prude Girls! This has been a crazy week for collaborations. I started the week at a SXSW party we threw with Machinima, then I was interviewing Shaq as a co-host on What's Trending, then tosh.0 played one of our RT Shorts mid-week and then finally the week ended with my long dreaded anticipated appearance on Live Prude Girls. It's been a ton of fun. And now I'm in prep for all our summer shows. These are really great times at RT HQ. Glad to be here and I am glad all of you are too.

Just a plane questionI am on a plane right now coming back from a high-powered business trip to Hollywood (as you do) and I was wondering what you all would think of a semi-regular interview show in the style of Reddit AMAs. Every couple of weeks we would feature a single RT staffer and people could write in questions that they answer. We would rotate through different RT departments and shows so that we get a good sampling. What do you think?
