Sad Day for an RT FanAfter being a Guardian last year for RTX and having a blast, I was looking forward to being one in 2013 as well. I submitted what I figured was my availability and got accepted! I was incredibly excited to help make RTX a success for another year.

And then I took a good look at the dates... and remembered I had committed to an event with my Fiance that same weekend. I already chose RTX2012 over an event with her last year, so 2013 has to go to her.

I was very sad to click that "Decline" button for the RTX Guardian confirmation page, and I hope to get a chance to be a Guardian in the future. Hopefully 2014 won't perfectly line up with ANOTHER event my Significant Other wants us to be at.

Featured User Again?Last time I made a post like this it was about 6 Months ago after finding myself as the Featured User. And somehow, I've made it back there again.

Well RT Community, Hello ! To all the people aspiring to be the Featured User.... I have no good advice. I don't actually know how I got on the Awesome List. But I plan on asking when RTX 2 comes around.

Hey there RT community!Featured user, never expected this!

This is probably because of the pre-pool party, party at RTX: after noticing nico was hanging out, me and a group of guys picked him up, carried him to the center of the pool (while holding him in the air) and dropped him into the pool.

Afterward, we pledged that one time, he would be able to point to anyone and we would do the same to them: I am, but we never had a chance. Our pool party was too much for the hotel to handle, and we were kicked out.

RTX insanityThis weekend was one of the most entertaining weekends I've had in a long time -- Pappadeaux's on Friday with previously unknown people, encouraging the shy to get in line and talk to the staff, getting pictures with almost all the RT staff, saving money on room by sharing with someone just met at the hotel, the zombie horde, whirlpools and pulling RT staff into the pool, and the story table.

All Great times. Can't wait till next year.

iPhone DevelopmentI've started attempting to construct an iPhone app that could potentially be used for the RoosterTeeth site.

I first got the push toward this from this group

My Desire is to create a simple interaction app that can view the content of RoosterTeeth (ie, Comics, Videos, Podcast, News) as well as being able to access the different community aspects of the site (Journals, Forums, Profiles, ~~stalking~~ watching, etc).

The idea of the app is to be direct access to content. So on the comics page, the main view would be the comic. Comments would be a secondary part of the view. This would be similar to a mobile version of the site, but would take advantage of the features of the iphone in order to display content.

My hope would be to make as much content as possible be cached on the device so that an internet connection wouldn't be required to view it (ie, comic images, previous view of profiles, etc).

First I need to come up with a function to start with. I'm thinking the Comic view would be the easiest.

We'll see how this goes, and if it's successful, maybe I'll pitch what I have to RT.
