Fantastic ShortSo I just saw Danger Zone, the newest RT Shorts, and i thought it was awesome. Not gonna lie, one of the reasons i love it is the music (As a clarinetist I want to play it.) And Joel getting beat up is awesome too. Great work guys.

Another WeekSo I've been gone for a week dealing little junior high musicians, so I haven't updated for a while. While it was fun and great to see some old friends, it's nice to be in my own bed again. And not sweating my ass off in a dorm. And by ass i mean nipples, cause apparently they don't sweat. Which is really awkward when there are two dry circles on a drenched T-shirt. Go figure.

MeetingSo I've just come back from a meeting with the writer/director and the choreographer of the musical I'm writing,and I'm now super stoked. Except for the fact I'm writing actual music with only two theory courses and a few lessons under my belt. But hey, what could possibly go wrong?

Late NightI've learned two things tonight. One, writing music is though to write late at night. Two, I'm really starting to like Craig Ferguson. Maybe staying up late isn't so bad.

Wow It's been a whileSo It's been like two years since i've written,and a lot has happened. I'm a junior, and i've written a lot more music. Since writing the music from my previous post (which was awesome by the way), I have written for a play production (background music and a full number), a clarinet solo, and a small jazz piece. Now I am arranging pep band tunes and writing all new music for a musical for a theatre student up here. Hopefully I can update this more that I have in previous years.

Composing,,,So I'm asked by my music theory professor to compose or arrange a piece for concert band as a part of my Music Theory Honors Class. The best part is that the piece will be performed in my hometown. The upside is that I know the director (my dad) and the band, so I know who I'm working with. The downside is that, if this sucks, a lot of people who know me will know.
So hopefully up to the challenge. Now if only I had an idea...

Hmm...Is it just me or does Patrick Swayze (may he rest in peace.) look like Neil Pactrick Harris...well the face only.I thought this while I was watching the Dana Carvey collection of SNL episodes on Netflix.
