6 Days Late
6 days and five years ago, I singed up on this site.
My life has changed an enormous amount since then....most of it is chronicled here. Anybody ever thought of taking all the journal/blog entries you have done and making a book out of it? Would anyone buy that?

T-Town & Ida
Thursday, Gretchen, Ally & I headed north for Anniston, AL. We went there to hook up w/ my family and have a football weekend. Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide!) vs LSU Tigers (Tigers Bleaux!)! This was the SEC Championship deciding game for these two teams. The Gators already had the SEC East on lockdown, and this game decided who they would meet in the Championship game from the SEC West.
Well, Friday, Shadowwisper, my dad, and uncle Gerald headed over for T-Town (thats Tuscaloosa to the rest of you) so we could get us a nice spot to set up our tents for tailgating on Saturday. We carried the RV that my uncles (Darrell and Gerald) have for just this reason. It is an old and small RV, and very uncomfortable, but it works fine for this usage. We get there , stake out our spot, get it mostly set up, and find a place to park the camper for the night...well, it took us a couple of tries, but we finally found a place to park.
Saturday, the rest of the family joined us. The roster was: myself, Gretchen, Ally, Whitney (shadowwisper), my dad Joe, my mom Runette, my uncle Darrel, his wife, my aunt Sarah, their kids, my cousins, Wes and Jeri, my uncle Gerald, several of their friends, Joe Ballard, Guy and Vicki Horton, and a handful of others who showed up but I didnt get to actually meet. We had 2, 12x12 tents set up, a 32" flatscreen tv, satellite dish, grill, boiler, lots of beer, plenty of tables filled w/ food, heaters, and lots of chairs! We ate drank and were merry!
Ally was all about the team spirit too!
Funny thing about the old people....they rarely like to go into the game....they would rather sit out under the tent and watch it on the tv, so the Hortons gave up their tickets and Gretchen and I were able to go in and see the game live.
these were some really great seats. Right on the north end goal line, 7 rows up.
here are a couple of panoramas of the stadium.....I took these (and all the pics) w/ my phone.
We had a great time, and....the best part....Alabama WON!!! ROLL TIDE!! Now it will be a repeat game from last year, Alabama vs Florida at the SEC Championship. I just hope for a different outcome this year!
and here are a few fans that I dont know....and I am kind of glad about that!
Now that thats all over, and we are home, what do I find out??? Hurricane Ida is about to hit! this is as of 9:10 am Monday morning I am glad about this, b/c hopefully this will be a nice boost in business for my business, and i need the money!
and it means we can have a hurricane party. it is kind of strange to have one this late in the year, but anytime is a good time for a party. besides, Ida is a weak little bitch, and not much of a threat!
Well, as the pig says, thats all folks!
thanx for reading, and see y'all on the other side!

Samhain
Well...we all had a wonderful time. As most of you know already, I was going as Sabretooth, and i think i pulled it off fairly well. The fangs I got were shit, so they didnt work at all, but everything else worked pretty well.
Since I was a cat person, my costume doubled as the Not-So-Cowardly Lion, and the rest of my family went as characters from Wizard of Oz. Ally was Dorothy, Gretchen was Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, my niece Whitney (also Shadowwisper on RT) was the Scarecrow, and my nephew Evan was the Tinman.
We wondered the neighborhood, got candy, and had a fine ole time!
Here are some pics:
and here is the last pic taken of me w/ the 'Chops!
here is the first pic taken of me w/out the 'Chops!
I hope you guys all had a great and fun time this Samhain, and lets do it again next year!

Scruffy Looking Nerfherder
Minus the Nerfherder
Today, as Gretchen, Ally, and I were about to leave out to take care of a bunch of errands, Gretchen turns to me, as a scratch my chops, and says I look scruffy looking.
I, personally, think she is right...and I cannot wait for Halloween, b/c when I come home from whatever outing we have planned and lose the costume, and shower all the make up off, I am getting rid of the damn chops. I really dont like them anymore.
So......what does a nerfherder look like?

Weekly News Update w/ Chevy Chase
No, Chevy Chase does not appear in this episode, I just wanted to say that.
Well, I have quit that fuckall call center job. I just couldnt take it anymore. I was getting very depressed and I hated every moment of being there. I have never had a job I despised so much.
I will be focusing on my business that my dad and I have started. We have one job that we will finish Monday, and then we need to get more, but now that I will have time to devote to it, I think the jobs will be coming in more frequently. I will also be on the lookout for another "make some other bastard money" job, but I will be picky as hell about them. I am absolutely done w/ working my ass off so some other bastard can be a millionaire.
I broke our bed.
Now.....I could either tell you how, or let your imaginations come up w/ an answer.
I think I will let y'all guess.
Ally is doing wonderful. She is toddling around and getting into absolutely everything. She has also learned how to take her clothes off, so unless we dress her in certain outfits, sooner or later, we end up w/ a naked baby running around the house.
This is my niece. She is a very cool chick who you should all go and say hi to. Make her feel warm and welcome.
Having a yard sale today....primarily b/c I broke the bed. We used the under-bed space for storage. After the yard sale, we will be going to the above mentioned niece robot competition.
Then we may have to go to a birthday party for one of Gretchens psychotic family relations. Seriously...her family is so fucked up it makes most of the stories I see you guys tell about your families seem trite and boring. Her grand parents had 8 kids. All but 2 of that generation had at least 2 kids each...some more. They are the classic concept of a religious hypocritical family, where every wrong doing imaginable happens, but some of them are excused and some are not, depending oh where you currently fall in favor of a few specific members. Utter and complete bullshit. Best part is Gretchen is well aware of this crap, and doesnt play into it at all, and sometimes eggs their asses on. They have learned not to bring up certain subjects w/ me....like religion or faith.
I hope she doesnt want to go....I would rather watch the Alabama v. South Carolina football game.....regardless, I am recording it!
Nice talking to you. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Gretchens B-Day Gift!
Well....as most of you know, yesterday was the beginning of my 33rd trip around our local star.
Gretchen had decided what she was going to get my for the celebration of that event a while back. I knew about it, and was looking forward to it. Well....I got it.
sorry Fools, this journal will be picture heavy
you should all recognize this
it is my most common avatar, and it is a tribal version of the mask of my fav comic character, Grifter. Tiger X created this for me about three years ago.
I went to see this guy
his name is James....he is cool, and a comic geek himself. in his studio were pics of the Punisher, Venom, and Green Lantern. In the above pic he is getting ready to apply the stencil of the piece.
this is the stencil
about an hour later, the outline was done
it took at least another hour and half to do all the fill, and by that time, my phone was dead, so the next two pictures are of it, fully finished, once I got home
so....who here has two thumbs, a new tattoo, and the best damn woman in the whole world????
thats right, ME, mother fuckers, ME!!!
