The Office FinaleOnce in a lifetime something, as insignificant as a TV show can affect more than you ever bargained for. Tonight The Office ended on a high note after 9 seasons of "will they won't they", "that what she said", "crazy stupid boss" shenanigans. It may have just been another series finale for some people and to others it may not have even been on their mind at all, but I can honestly say it meant a lot to me. This show did so much for me.
Freshman year of college it was the common intrest that built many of my strongest friendships I have which still last to this day. That same year, buying seasons one and two on loaned money from those friends helped me get through the death of a close family member. Soon after, when I was faced with the huge choice of choosing a major, it led me in the right direction to my love of sales and marketing. A year after that, it led me to my true love and broke the awkward ice between Kaitlin and Patrick during their second meeting. (That post super bowl episode with the fire is still my favorite.) When I was sick it comforted me and when I was down it picked me up. It made every Thursday night something special and helped me push through that final day of the week.
This was the last special night, but that feeling won't ever go away. Their were a lot of messages in tonight's finale. Some sad. Some inspirational. Some very motivating. But one question which has been moving through the internet for the past hour via Twitter, Facebook and other forms media has been making me think. That question is, "Where you influenced by The Office?"
It is here with teary eyes that I can deliver my answer. "Yes. More than any of you will ever know."

AMA FailWell so much for that AMA. Only one two question(s) was were asked so I guess I will go ahead and knock it out.
@captjack8228 Asked: (Mostly) every gamertag has a story. What is the story behind HXC88?
When I signed up for XBOX Live I didn't even own an XBOX 360, but all of my friends did. I purchased my account and sat down to make it, but after an hour I was still stumped on what my gamertag should be and my friend was getting impatient to play. So honestly I kind of panicked and chose the first thing that came to mind. I was really into metal and hardcore music at the time so I took the abbreviation of hardcore (HXC) and tacked on my birth year (1988). And thus HXC88 was born. In hindsight I was a little embarrassed by it at first (hence I chose a different name here on RT when I signed up a few months later), but every time I think about changing it now I don't want to. That gamertag is now me and I will keep it 'til the day I die!
@Dame asked: How did you and Kaitlin first meet? and along those lines who asked who on a date first, where'd you go? don't leave out any silly romantic stuff either
After 6 months of horrible dating problems I was at my whits end. I was actually going to take a good long break from the dating scene and regroup over the next few months. Then came the day that my roommate introduced me to his girlfriend. Apparently I made a good impression on her and she wanted to set me up with one of her friends who never really had a boyfriend. I said "What have I got to lose?" and took the bait. They set up a kind of couples night where a bunch of us got together and Kaitlin and I were the only single people there. It was awkward and we wouldn't talk to eachother at first, but we both knew what was up so we suffered though it. (Oh! and I was 20 and she was 21. That'll make sense in a moment.) So we were playing pictionary when all of a sudden a loud knock came from the front door. It was a cop. I went out on the back balcony (which was on the second floor) and so did she. That is when we had our first real converastion. I was afraid that this guy was going to get me for underage drinking. She was afraid that she was going to be busted for supplying alcohol to minors. Our first real conversation was literally"Should we jump off of this balcony and run?" Some time passed and the cop never came bursting out the door to get us so we went back inside. Turns out one of the guys at the get together knew the cop and had called him to prank us. I'm glad he did because after that conversation Kaitlin and I continued to talk and eventually ended up married.
And that concludes my AMA. Thanks everyone!

A.M.A.I always said that once I hit a certain goal I would do an Ask Me Anything. Honestly, I have never done one before. Still I reached my highly immature gaol today so I am going to follow through with it. What was said goal?

Now I know that is small potatoes, but I don't care. I just wanted to reach natures funniest number. So go ahead and blast away with the questions in the comments. I'll answer anything you ask either on Thursday or Friday. And please, be creative.
