Dearest Internet...SOrry I haven't updated in forever and 3 months, things have been busy as always up here on the hill. With the way things are going, I have coined the phrase:
"If you're nor drinking from a firehose, you're not doing it right!"
I think it aptly describes my classmate's and I's experience. Anyway, if you need more frequent updates on the pointless, random, esoteric stuff from my life go get a life of your own! or look me up on facebook. That's right 1 person who commented on my "-1 fail mod" journal, you can now virtually stalk me somehwere else on the ol' series of tubes!
I was looking over the RT blogs just now, and I noticed that Capt_Ed is leaving for Navy basic training (and has most likely left by now), and that's all well and good. The US needs people like Capt_Ed and myself to volunteer in times like this.
What has me slightly miffed is that I didn't get a +1 Cool from Burnie when I shipped out for Air Force basic!
Wish him luck and rag on him for joining the leaky-bucket navy:
I swear that guy's trying to kill the internet! he just enacted the "Emergency Cyberspace Defense Protocol" which allows the govt. to shut down the internet, and now we've got sh!tty broadband speeds of 0.2 kbps (less than 5% of what we currently have).
Don't get me wrong, he still is my Commander and Chief, but he is really not helping the situation here. Besides, it's a soldier's right to complain.
It's been a problem off and on for a while now, but none of my browsers seem to want to load the videos hosted on this site. A truly disconcerting thought, of course. Until this point, I've relied on Youtube to provide the videos, but that too has come up dry recently.
Anybody got any ideas on how to fix the video loading problem?
I was busy earning some new achievements the other day, when I wondered: "What was the first achievement I ever got?"
Turns out, the oldest achievement I have (which is according to the update to the GS system that recorded the time and date when you earned it) was the achievement for completing Basic Training in Call of Duty 2 on 11/21/2006.
Who would think that 3 years and 26,000 gamerscore later, that I would be where I am now. I just think that's pretty cool.
For the record, some the really old achievements didn't have a timestamp on them, so it's very likely that my true first achievement was in King Kong or another one of the Killer Apps.
