TitleAs you may or may not know, I am not an artist. I have never taken an art class before, but I would really like to. But I do enjoy doodling. I hope to one day be able to at least do cartoons/comics. I plan on taking art sometime, but until then, I'd like to practice doodling on my own. That's why I was thinking about drawing a comic that I could post here. So my question is, what would you want me to do a doodle-comic about? I had a few ideas, mostly from videogames:
Left 4 Dead comic: it would probably be an original story chronicling a few of the military's efforts to evacuate as many survivors from the mainland as possible. The military, growing desperate, rounds up all of the able bodied immune survivors that have been evacuated, and draft them into service to help them rescue trapped survivors. However, when the time comes for the rescue teams to head back to the safe-zone, they are denied access for fear that they may be carriers. The team must then find a way to get help, or be eaten alive.
Half-Life: There are many different ways I could do this, but I'm thinking it would take place during the Seven-Hour War and see the return of Adrian Shepard and possibly the HECU.
Battlestar Galactica: I have a million ideas for this.
Red vs Blue: I have had an idea for a red vs blue side story since Reconstruction. It would contain mostly origional characters since I don't feel worthy to write a fan-fiction with the main characters. I don't want to give too much away, but it would be about another attempt to destroy Freelancer and take place during the events of Recollection.
Halo: This story would be about a marine fire-team and their de-facto CO, a Spartan who commandeered them for an ONI mission in the middle of a battle for a colony. It would address the tensions between the god-like Spartans and the average soldier.
Saints Row: this one would take place immediately following Saints Row the Third, but I don't know which ending it would follow.
An original comic: This one would basically be a parody of the Sci-fi-military genre and would poke fun at franchises such as Halo, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Starship Troopers, and just about every other title with "star" in it.
So if any of y'all are interested, just let me know what you think I should do. I can doodle up some concept sketches, but not until Monday.
EDIT:
I think I've decided on the original comic mainly because since I'm terrible with faces, it would be hard for me to make canon characters look like themselves. I doodled up a concept for the helmet and primary assault rifle for the marine infantry.
I was going to make the rifle caseless or semi-caseless since that would make more since for future sci-fi, but a more conventional gun looks cooler, which is fine for this comic since it will be mostly tongue-in-cheek.

I'm done.I know I said I hate it when people post about their personal problems, but this site has become too hostile for me. This was the place I was using for an escape, but it just doesn't seem to work.

This is what is wrong with the world. WARNING: Rant commencing
It made us the country with the highest standard of living, strongest economy, and best military in the world, but when that starts to plateau people turn on it.
Don't tell rich people to share with those less fortunate if you're not willing to.
It's not that the U.S. couldn't use improvement, but the protesters need to stop pretending that they're Robin Hood. Nobody else is falling for that.
Quit calling the police "barbarians" if you're worse.
This shows how the vast majority of the protesters don't even believe in their own message. They are eager to get rich quick and support MTV.
Debt is a serious problem, and credit card companies do encourage it, but you are still responsible for your own spending. You can't just buy everything you want and say you're being force into slavery when they make you pay for it.
This makes me really mad. First, stop hiding behind (dumb)masks and bandannas. You obviously don't really care about your cause if you aren't even willing to show your identity. After all, you were willing to post cops' personal information all over the internet so people could ruin their lives. Second, the top 5% pay for more than 50% of U.S. federal income taxes. The top 1% earns 17% of the income, but pays 37% of the taxes. I live in an area with a lot of people who make more than $100,000 or even $200,000, and they are not evil bastards. Take for example, an attorney. He goes to work at 7:00 in the morning. He works until 9:00 at night. He does this five or six days a week because he has to pay for 3 or 4 kids in college, and with Obama raising taxes, he can no longer to afford to donate to charities or his church.
Billionaires should give away much of their income, but it is theirs. They earned it. No one gave it to them. Bill Gates has given away 28 billion dollars to charity, and plans to give 95% of his money away before he dies.
Rant complete
I realize I just posted something I hate to see in journals: political opinions. But I'm done... for now. So here, have a funny!

SurrogatesJust saw the movie Surrogates. I think it's actually a pretty damn good movie! There's a few unrealistic parts(even within the scope of the movie), but they aren't really important, so it doesn't matter. It's got good action, cool concepts, and a great story. It made me think about my favorite movies. I think my top ten are:
11. Surrogates
10. Starship Troopers (Funny satire and amazing action scenes!)
9. The Iron Giant (Good family movie, funny, good animation, and I love fifties/ cold war era America)
8. Forest Gump (I don't think I have to explain this one.)
7. Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade (Some people think the first is the best, but I prefer this one.)
6. Children of Men (very interesting concept, great acting, cool camera work, good action, story of keeping hope in a world that seems to have none.)
5. Black Hawk Down (most realistic modern war movie, very moving, shows how what seemed like a disaster can be seen as one of the army's finest hours.)
4. The Big Lebowski (Just watch it.)
3. Star Wars V (Classic sci-fi. Mixes the traditional fun, adventure, and wonder of Starwars with a more gritty, dark story.)
2. Band of Brothers (Technically not a movie, but the most moving I've ever seen. Amazing tribute to WWII and it's heroes.)
1. Second Hand Lions (everyone should see this movie. It may seem hokey, but it's fucking brilliant and heart-warming. Apart from Band of Brother, it is the only movie to make me almost cry.)
What are yall's favorites?
